Day out

Lilys pov

Mom came back into the living room and her face was all red and i could tell that she has been crying and i turned to her when she sat next to me on the couch and smiled at me but i was worried about her

"Mama are you okay?" i ask and i think the question took her by surprise as it takes her few seconds to answer "Yes baby im okay thank you how is your foot feeling now?" mom asked me and i just tell her that it is feeling a little better because of the ice and she nods before shuffling closer to me and wrapping her arm around my shoulder and i lean into her feeling safe

After we finish the movie dad walks back in and i can see him subtly nod at mom thinking i didnt see it but i did but before i could ask Rose came back in the room dragging Leo in with her

"Thanks Rose can i have my boyfriend back now" i joke which makes everyone laugh except from Rose and she looks at everyone confused which makes dad laugh even harder and she says "Stop laughing dad i dont like you" Rose said furrowing her eyebrows and crossing her arms and dad-slapped his hand over his mouth trying not to laugh anymore

"Im sorry Rosie Posie" Dad says and Rose smiled again and i saw Leo snickering behind her and i smiled trying to keep my laughter in and Leo comes over to me and kisses me before sitting on the other side of me and dad goes to the kitchen and tells us he is ordering pizza

"Lets play a game mommy" Rose shouts out and it makes me jump as i was drifting off to sleep and i was leaning into mom still so im pretty sure she felt it and she confirmed my suspicions when she says "Rose inside voices please" and Rose mutters a small sorry before talking about some games we can play but i dont pay much attention because i am trying to fight off sleep but then mom whispers into my hair

"Come here and let me braid your hair and then you can have a little nap before dinner comes" she whispers and i groan not wanting her to do my hair i just want to sleep

"Come on big girl" mom said lifting me up onto her lap and moving my leg slightly so its still rested on the coffee table and she started combing through my hair with her fingers and i shuffled around trying to get comfortable but she sat me up more

"Ill be two minutes sweet girl you hair is still wet from the beach and i dont want you getting sick again baby" she tells me and i sit there whilst she braids my hair and she ties it up before she lets me lean back on her and i fall asleep instantly as she massages her fingers through the top of my hair so it doesnt mess my braid up

Scarletts pov

I watch Leo and Rose playing some game on her ipad whilst Lily is sleeping and there is a couple of times where i had to tell Rose to be quiet as she is being very loud and her sister is trying to sleep and Leo keeps her quiet which i am thankful for

When the dinner comes Leo helps set the table with Rose, i dont think Colin like to admit it but he is really keen on Leo and he is good for Lily and treats her like she deserves

I tried waking Lily up but she groaned and went back to sleep but i couldn't let her otherwise she wouldnt be able to sleep tonight so i just picked her up and let her sit on my hip as i walked to the kitchen and Colin was sorting out the drinks so i told him me and Lily will just have water and i sit down at the table and i stroke her baby hairs of her face which causes her to stir a little

"Come on baby dinners here" i tell her and she sits up and moves across to sit on the chair next to me still half asleep and she takes a few bites out of her pizza and i can tell she isnt listening to anyone and their conversations so i place my hand on her lap rubbing it whilst eating mine and she stopped eating and rests her chin in her hands on the table
