3rd persons pov

Scarlett and Colin talked whilst the pasta had cooled down and Scarlett was going up to go and get Lily to come down and eat something, she has been crying so much it probably dehydrated her as well so she needed to drink something

Scarlett made her way up the stairs to find Lily still sleeping, she brushed the hair out of her face, Scarlett knew about Lily ever since her and Colin started dating, Colin said i would only meet her if it was serious because Lily has had bad relationships with his previous exes.

Lilys pov

I woke up to someone stroking my face, i opened my eyes and found Scarlett smiling at me which made me feel comforted that she was here with me, even though i shouldnt get attached i dont want to be hurt again

"Hey baby you get some good sleep?" i heard Scarlett say and i just hummed nodding my head, my throat was still hurting and i was scared what my voice would sound like when i did speak, i think Scarlett noticed because she quickly got the water that was sat on my bedside and held it at my mouth letting me drinking it

"Alright sweet girl your dad has made some pasta and i hear it is your favourite so lets go down and eat some" Scarlett says with a smile still on her face and i groaned in response not wanting to get up and walk

Scarlett sat on the bed and moved me over to her and sat me up on her lap, it did make me feel better but it still made me feel embarrassed because i have only known about her for about 5 months even though dad had been dating her 7 months prior in telling me which i was grateful for because i told dad i dont want to be introduced to his new girlfriends unless he is sure that they will be together for a long time

I cuddled into Scarletts chest whilst she stroked my head playing with my hair and i think she realised i had no intention of moving to go down the stairs so she stood up with me still on her lap and moved me to her front and carried me down the stairs, when passing the living room i saw dad and he gave me a massive smile, Scarlett set me down at the kitchen table and gave me a quick peck on the head before going to get the bowls of pasta

Colin and Scarlett came in and sat opposite me which made me feel a little uneasy especially knowing they will want to talk about the panic attacks and im certain they will bring up the flinch but i want to get it off my chest and tell someone

"So squirt we need to have a chat after we eat our lunch" dad said giving me a small smile which i returned nodding my head

The room was quiet they were all eating for 2 minutes in a comfortable silence until Scarlett decided to speak up

"So Lily your dad tells me that you are a massive marvel fan, whos your favourite character?"

I immediately smile at the question because i loved marvel so much and black widow was my favourite because i loved how she was always fighting the bad guys without any powers and always winning

"I love marvel and my favourite is black widow she is so cool" i said remembering the time i saw her in the cinema a year ago and getting lost into the thoughts until my dad started speaking

"Well guess what squirt Scarlett is black widow, she is the actress who plays her" and i went into shock, now looking back at her i could easily see it was her but my mind was so distracted in the morning i didnt even recognise her

"holy shit no way how did i not realise" i whisper yelled the first words hoping that my dad wouldnt hear me and tell me to put money in the swear jar we have

"swear jar lily"  when i heard that the smile on my face disappeared and i saw the smile on Scarletts face, she looked happy watching me find out that she was my favourite character

"This is actually so surreal dad, no offence how have you managed to bag her she is the best" i said with a smile on my face to let my dad know i was joking and he chuckled looking at a laughing Scarlett who eventually joined in and said "your right im way out of his league" obviously joking around making the three of them continue to laugh

Once the silence was back and the laughter had died down Lily stared straight at Scarlett and started to speak to her

"Hey Scarlett i am sorry for today, i didnt mean to make you come over here and ruin the plans you made today for us and i am also sorry for being clingy with you upstairs i wont do it again" i said looking into my lap

I must of not heard her move around so she was crouching down to my level and cup my face and she kissed my forehead before starting to tell me how i shouldn't apologise and she loved my hugs so much she wished i was hugging her all the time which i didnt believe i know that she was getting sick of me, i barley had met her and i was sitting on her lap seeking comfort from her

"But its true i am 13 now i shouldnt be acting like a baby i need to grow up" Scarlett cupped my face once again reasurring me that i was still a child and even when you are older you still deserve to have the comfort of others around us

Then dad started to gather the bowls and put them into the dishwasher before taking my hand and scarletts and leading me to the living room where i was placed in between them both, i knew that they wanted me to tell them the truth about what had happened today and for the first time i felt like i was okay with sharing but i was scared about my dads reaction when he finds out about Jodie
