New nightmare

My phone was taken off me last night because of the whole drama at dinner thing, even though it was my birthday mom still told me she was taking my phone for the night and I should be grateful that she isn't taking it for longer

It was 3am and I had just woken up to another nightmare but this time it was a new one of Dana and she had taken and killed me, after that whole dinner thing I was a little shaken up anyways so I couldn't go back to sleep I slipped out of the bed hoping to not wake up Leo as mom told me he could spend the night as it was getting late by the time I had opened everyone's presents

I head to my balcony and quietly shut it so it doesn't make Leo cold even though I am freezing out here, I should have grabbed a blanket but I don't want to disturb Leo so I just curled myself in a ball on my egg chair it was really the worst time to be wearing shorts and a top

I get lost in my thoughts pretty easily whilst I am looking up at the stars so I don't think much of the cold and sitting out here made me realise Dana could be anywhere at anytime, I don't know what I would do if I ran into her again and that scared me not knowing if I could confront her or would I freeze, I was pulled out of my thoughts when i felt a little clatter as if something hit my chair and I looked up to see Mom standing there from her balcony looking straight at me and she signals for me to come to her which I didn't have much choice in the matter otherwise she would come to me and potentially wake Leo up

I made my way to moms room where I see her sitting on the bed now with a tired smile which made me feel guilty because she probably woke up because she heard my balcony door again, she stretches her hands out to me and I immediately place myself in them wanting to feel her warmness

"Oh god Lily you are freezing" mom said as her arm touched mine and she stood up and went to her closet grabbing a pair of her fluffy pyjamas and she put them on me over my own clothes which made me giggle a little and she laid down and told me to come in the middle of bed and snuggle

I laid my head on her chest and I still couldn't fall asleep so I just listened to mom's heartbeat until mom broke the silence "What was the nightmare about Lils" she asked and my heart dropped I don't know if I should tell her about it I don't want her to be upset that I was dreaming about Dana

"Promise me you won't be mad at me" I asked looking up at her and she nodded hesitating a little and I saw the worry all over her face even though it was dark

"It was about Dana, she found me and she killed me and told me that you guys had given me to her and you guys didn't want me anymore" I tell her as tears slipped out that I didn't even realise until mom had wiped them

"I would never be mad about you talking about Dana sweet girl I promise you but I would never ever give you to Dana, you are my little girl forever Lils" mom tells me which makes me feel a little happy because I know mom will never let anyone hurt me even dad because I heard mom shouting at dad after he smashed my phone and she sounded brutal that almost made me feel bad for him but he deserved that shouting

"Can you sing to me mama?" I ask as I know her singing sends me to sleep almost instantly and she smiled at me before singing my favourite of hers "Stuck in a moment you can't get out of" and I feel my eyes drooping as she continues to sing and I let the sleep take me

I woke up to see myself cuddled in dads arms and I look to see mom getting ready picking out her outfit as dad scrolls on his phone

"Good morning Squish how'd you sleep?" He asked me and I see mom walking over to us now and she kisses the top of my head before going back

"It was better when I came in here" I mumbled feeling embarrassed that I was 14 and sleeping with my parents because of a nightmare it made me seem like a baby but dad smiled at me and hugged me even tighter
