Liliana's POV

After dropping my things in the corner of the studio where I'm set to record a cover of "Lose My Breath" by Stray Kids, I sit on the couch, waiting for the producer to arrive.

I open the company group chat and see 2,000 messages have piled up since I left my apartment this morning. Something must be going on.

Reading through the messages, I see, "The new red card has been given."

To who? I wonder. Has Chan finally given up on punishing me?

'To who?'

A video appears in the chat. It's a recording from the locker room, showing Hana being dragged away from her open locker.

"Don't forget the rule."

The video is deleted shortly after I watch it.

Oh no.

I run out of the studio. People are heading toward the trainee lounge, and I follow, pushing through the crowd. Some are running out of the lounge towards the stairs. I take the elevator to the ground floor. They must be heading to the abandoned dance studio outside the building.

I rush outside, holding down my cap so it doesn't fly off.

At the studio, I see Chan, Leeknow, and IN sitting opposite the crowd. I push through the spectators to the front. Hana is there, her hair disheveled and her clothes rumpled. She's kneeling before Chan, crying.

Chan looks furious, Leeknow seems fed up, and IN is casually scrolling through his phone.

The trainees cheer and clap as Chan's loyal followers, including a blue-haired boy, urge them on. I spot another of Chan's followers holding something.

"Jae!" he yells, throwing the item to the blue-haired boy's partner ,Jae, who catches it-a clipper.

Chan looks surprised; it seems he didn't order the clipper.

Jae grabs Hana's hair. "I wonder what a pretty girl like you would look like bald," he sneers, and the crowd laughs.

Leeknow hides his face in his hands. Chan looks uncomfortable, and IN glances curiously at the scene before returning to his phone.

Jae turns on the clipper and moves it towards Hana's head. IN drops his phone, looking nervously at Chan. Leeknow does the same.

I need Chan to stop this madness, but it's clear he won't.

"No!!!" I shout, running towards Hana. "Hana," I say, turning to Chan. "What is this nonsense? Why are you doing this? Hana has nothing to do with this."

"She has everything to do with this, though" IN comments, still focused on his phone.

"Your enemy is me, right? Face me instead of going through the corners. Be a man," I challenge Chan. His face turns red with anger.

"Best friends for life. Let's give it to them," the blue-haired boy says, leading a clap that everyone joins, except for a few of us.

Hana continues to cry, wiping her face with a towel.

Chan gets up, walks past me, and shoves the blue-haired boy to the floor. His friends help him up.

"I'll let your friend go," Chan says, smirking, "if you shave your head."

"Chan!" Leeknow yells in panic.

"Or you can give in," Chan whispers to me. "Your choice."

I laugh. "I can't shave cornrows, genius."
