His expression shifts into a scowl, deep lines creasing his brow.

"About time," he snaps, voice cutting through the air. "Mind telling me why you're late? I don't have all day."

A spark of irritation flares in me, wiping away any sympathy I might have had for him. He's acted like he's more important than anyone else before, and this isn't the first time.

"Seriously? From where I'm standing, it seems like you have nothing better to do than complain," I shoot back, my voice steady despite the frustration brewing inside.

His scowl hardens, and I can see the annoyance simmering beneath his gaze. "Excuse me? You're the one wasting my time."

"Wasting your time? You're the one who asked me to meet up in the first place! If this is such a burden, why did you bother?"

We volley words back and forth, our voices edged with sharp retorts. My heart pounds with each response, anger clashing with an inexplicable rush of adrenaline.

Just as I feel myself inching toward something I might regret saying, he surprises me. He steps closer, grabs my hand gently, and his voice softens. "Calm down, alright?"

The sudden change catches me off guard, breaking through my irritation. "I'm... sorry. This isn't what I wanted."

He sighs, an amused smirk lifting the corner of his lips. "Dragging you here and snapping at you isn't the best start, is it? Let me make it up to you."

Before I can respond, he tugs me forward, and suddenly we're walking through the entrance of Lotte World. My irritation melts away, replaced by a flicker of curiosity.

"Welcome to my kingdom," he announces with a playful grin. "What do you want to conquer first?"

I glance at him, still trying to wrap my head around this unexpected day. "The rides? I'm not the biggest fan of those, you know."

"Oh, come on, it'll be fun! Just trust me," he insists, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

I shake my head, feeling the tension from earlier start to dissipate. "Trust you? The last time I did, you were snapping at me for being late," I say, though a hint of a smile sneaks through.

His chuckle is warm, the earlier edge in his tone gone. "Fair enough. But today, I'll try not to snap and I can see a challenge in his eyes. " let me make it up to you. Let's go."

Before I can protest, he drags me toward a ride that looks relatively tame-a spinning teacup ride. I can see other people laughing and spinning around in circles, and I feel a little thrill of anticipation.

"See? Not so bad, right?" Chan says as we settle into a teacup. He turns the wheel, and our cup begins to spin faster. "Hold on tight!"

"Chan, slow down!" I yelp, my heart racing as the world blurs around us. I grab the edge of the cup, my knuckles whitening as the nausea creeps in. "I can't-"

"Too late!" he laughs, his carefree demeanor infectious even as my stomach starts to churn.

After what feels like an eternity, the ride comes to a stop, and I stumble out, my head spinning. "That was horrible!" I groan, clutching my stomach. "I'm going to be sick."

"Come on, that was hilarious!" Chan bursts out laughing, clearly enjoying my distress. "You should have seen your face!"

I glare at him, but it's hard to stay mad when he's grinning like that. "You're a menace," I grumble, but even I can't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.

As we make our way through the park, I'm grateful for the slower-paced attractions-like the enchanting pirate ship that swings back and forth, offering a stunning view of the park below. Chan seems to revel in the sights, his earlier annoyance forgotten as he starts to relax.
