31: Feelings

Liliana arrived at Seoul International Airport with a mix of excitement and apprehension. The bustling terminal was alive with the hum of travelers, but her attention was immediately drawn to a familiar group of faces.

Standing just in front of the check-in area, ¾ of the f4-Minho, Jeongin, and Chan-were gathered around Maya.

Maya was stylishly dressed in a chic, travel-friendly outfit: a sleek, navy jumpsuit paired with white sneakers that gave her a comfortable yet fashionable look. Her light brown hair was pulled back into a neat ponytail, and she wore oversized sunglasses that complemented her ensemble.

Minho, Jeongin, and Chan were dressed casually but looked equally stylish. Minho was in a casual button-up shirt with rolled-up sleeves and dark jeans. Jeongin sported a graphic tee and denim shorts, adding a touch of playfulness to his look. Chan had on a simple white t-shirt and joggers, with a snapback tilted slightly back on his head.

As Liliana approached them, she felt a wave of awkwardness but tried to mask it with a warm smile. Maya noticed her and greeted her with an enthusiastic hug. "Liliana! I'm so glad you could make it!"

Liliana hugged her back, then turned to the boys, greeting them. Chan looked at Liliana with a raised eyebrow. "Why are you here, Liliana?"

Maya jumped in quickly. "She's my friend. She wanted to see me off too."

Chan's expression turned a bit sour. "Oh, great."

Maya chuckled and addressed the group. "Thank you all for waking up so early to see me off. I really appreciate it."

Jeongin and Minho exchanged smirks. "Who says we're here just for you, Maya?" Jeongin teased. "There are a lot of pretty ladies around here."

Minho nodded in agreement, his eyes following a lady in a bright yellow dress as she walked by. "Look at her! Now that's a great outfit."

Maya checked her watch and sighed. "It seems like Hyunjin is still mad at me. I guess I can't wait to see him anymore."

Just as she was about to turn and walk away, a voice yelled, "Maya!" She spun around to see Hyunjin rushing toward her, his suitcase rolling behind him.

Everyone turned in surprise.

Hyunjin came to a stop in front of Liliana, looking determined. "I'm finally taking action to support Maya. I'm leaving with her."

Maya's eyes widened. "What? No, you don't have to do that!"

As Hyunjin stood before Maya, looking resolute, the group fell silent, their surprise palpable.

"I'm not letting you go to Busan alone," he declared. "I'm coming with you."

Maya's eyes widened. "Hyunjin, no, you don't have to do that."

Hyunjin shook his head. "I can't. I need to be there for you. It's important to me."

Maya's face was a mix of worry and frustration. "But what about everything here? Your career, your family, your friends? You can't just leave all that behind."

Hyunjin's expression softened. "I've talked to the company. I've arranged a month-long hiatus to take care of my mental health. It's not a permanent goodbye."

Maya's concern about Hyunjin's decision intensified. She stepped closer to him, her voice filled with genuine worry. "Hyunjin, I understand you need this time, but what about the fans? They're going to be worried sick if they hear that you're taking a break for mental health reasons. They'll think something terrible is happening."

Hyunjin looked at Maya with a calm expression. "I know it's going to cause concern, Maya. But the truth is, I need to prioritize my own well-being right now. If I'm not okay, I can't be there for the fans the way they deserve."
