Andrei stood on the floating nothingness that was the dead city in his mind. Emptiness enveloped him, but for once... the boy seemed to stand with an air of purpose about him. There was something strange about the scene he stepped into. His face twisted into a determination he couldn't name, Andrei blinked.

He appeared inside that grey house, not a single feature about it defined. He was in the spot where that figure had sat originally in his prior dream, and he stared into the blinded, deafening sound of the television before him. Andrei's face was no longer hardened by the grit behind it, instead, it was opened wide with awe at what he had seen. A glorious golden warrior fought through the sea and the skies, flying as he faced down his foe... Andrei couldn't remember much, but...

Unsteady outlines of people around him began to manifest. In the hall of the grey house, a figure muttered behind the thick air, practically unheard if it weren't for the deafening silence of all but the television. He flinched, and he turned back. Another figure sat right beside him. The awe in his eyes faded, and they were soon replaced by tears he couldn't even begin to understand. "Wha-...? Who-?" He gasped, his voice shaky now as a feeling of incredible loss pierced his heart.

Looking down as though he would see it beating out of his chest, Andrei was suddenly standing. Clawed fingers struck clean through his body, coated in fresh blood, and it did beat free of his own body. Ra held Andrei's heart in his hands, and the boy flinched. When he opened his eyes, the demon stood opposed to him, his heart returned to his chest. "Fight with your whole being, boy. You'll be needing it soon enough."

Andrei looked down at his own blood-soaked hands, and the gaping hole in his chest. He felt no pain, but an incredibly heavy weight still beared down on him. Feebly, he raised his hands. If they were to fight, he would still stand determined with or without his heart. "You bastard... you're the reason..." Andrei felt his breathing shudder, and he couldn't help but cough up blood. "You're the reason everything has been so..." He balled his fists.

"You're the reason my whole life has been so fucked!" Andrei couldn't help but scream, his hair ragged now and his eyes shaking. From his own pierced heart, Ra's own chimeric energy began to manifest, and he prepared to swing at the demon residing within his own body, but he was forced to bring up his guard with Ra appearing in front of him in an instant. His arms, partially enveloped by black flesh more akin to his temporary demonic states in the land of the waking, he felt Ra's fists crush his own bones, and he couldn't help but curse pitifully as he was blown away.

Through the air he flew, in a field of grey nothingness. Blood sprayed from the wound in his chest which never healed, and the rain fell red upon the world of Andrei's dreams. The rain. His eyes shot open as he flew through the air with as much grace as an elephant, and as he came crashing to the ground, he skidded to a halt. He found his back to the rear of that house he had seemed to be so focused on.

Then Andrei woke up.
