Stepping onto the already muddied and torn field beneath the canopy of forest, the half-Chimera known as Baka-Bayashi felt his claws twitch, and he drew his sword on his opponent. The black and white blade glinted in the faint sunlight, and he gritted his teeth before raising his weapon up. The colossal sword cleaved through the air, whipping up a wind which blew at the coat of his opponent, revealing a number of small kunai, each glimmering in the momentary light. Bayashi grunted, then slammed his blade down in front of him, the weapon taking root and forming a line in the dirt.
Locus felt his eye twitch, and with it, a number of glints refracted sunlight as they flew at Bayashi. The half-Chimera felt the clinking of blades against his broad, massive blade, and narrowed his eyes as he looked across the way at his opponent. "What, I won't get the same manners as the girl or the wolf?" He snorted, then laughed. "I guess it's to be expected." Bayashi spread his legs and took a wide stance.
Opening his eyes wide, they flashed crimson for a moment, and he snarled at his foe with an animalistic rage beyond that of even Okuri's battle lust, though it seemed... chained. It was as if Bayashi was holding back. His opponent, a sly-looking map, tipped a sharp, angular hat and shook his head before drawing another kunai. "Your kind never learn, do they? Intelligent or not, you've all got a certain swagger about you. I like to see it fade with the light in your eyes." The man said, quite sure of himself by the looks of things.
Bayashi's paws began to crackle with arcs of deep blue-black electricity, and he grinned. "Then try to cross that line..." He took a step forwards, keeping his wide stance as he flowed forwards, more like a martial artist than a wild beast. "... If you even can!"
In the treetops above, towering over even Bayashi, the wind rustled leaves with the movement of shadowy figures. On the very exterior of the battlefield, the area where the tree line finally began again, slender tightropes formed from blood crystallized and solidified into nigh-invisible black walkways which dark-clad shapes positioned themselves on. Three, each with a hand pointed just ever so slightly out from the canopy of leaves. Nearly invisible, if it wasn't for the hunters having been hunted.
Elsewhere in the thick veil of green, a black- and cream-clad figure shifted a wooden mask as the white-painted teeth glinted in the sunlight alongside the red gemstone eyes. Her ears twitched as she heard the rustling of the leaves. Suzuko sniffed the air and grumbled quietly. She had always felt a certain connection with the wind, the world around her completely apart from her natural born mana. When it felt different, of course she had given a second thought to it... she wasn't ever bright by any means, but Suzuko was certainly able to listen to her gut. "Mph... leaves, twigs... You won't stop me!" She murmured to herself as she silently wove around the thickest spots of tree growth, leaping between branches and platforms of magically condensed air which vanished behind her.
Unlike Suzuko's new opponents, she hadn't left a trail to follow. Tracing the crystalline strands of blood, she eventually came across the first of the hidden enemies. Descending from above, she raised both her daggers up, not yet channeling energy into them before a red mist sprayed from the extra hand of the finger-pointing assassin. "Found you- peh...! The heck is this?!" She spat, smelling foul blood on the wind.
Whipping around, the black-clad assassin pointed a gun-shaped finger sign at Suzuko, and the feline Beastkin grunted as she pushed off of a suddenly formed platform of wind. Channeling air into one of her daggers, as she shot off to the side, and a piercing bolt of blood fired from her enemy's fingertips, she unleashed a brief slash of wind. "Just... can't let any other of your group..." Suzuko landed on the branch connected to her foe's bridge of crystalline blood, and she jammed her dagger into it. "Know where to find me!"
The concussive slash slammed into the Chimera Hunter's hand and cracked bone, twisting their fingers as their slender bridge of blood cracked and began to collapse. As the assassin shouted out in pain, they tumbled into a bush. All the while, Bayashi's battle with the kunai-wielding man was on in full force.
