That instant, the instant that Andrei set eyes on Inoshishi's unfortunate state, he could feel that tinge of battlelust that Ra had always given him... but this time, it was something more personal. The hairs on the back of his neck prickled, and he felt a chill in his very soul as his eyes reflected the velvety crimson of Inoshishi's blood. Ainu's struggling whines, and Dove's slowly recovering senses, they only served to make him strain harder against his nature. Vivian stepped up beside him, the two of them taking in the sight.

Alpha's eye widened as she picked up on the spike of energy radiating from Andrei... it was something that didn't happen often anymore. She had seen enough fights to adjust to his power, but something about this was different. The malevolence of other Chimera had seemed to creep its way into his soul, she could sense it, she didn't know how, but she could. Reaching out an arm and stepping forward, she was about to place her hand on his shoulder, but before she could reach him, Raiju took off in the direction of Hattori and the fleeing Tenryu-ji. Andrei and Vivian seemed to have an unspoken communication which flipped a switch in that moment, both shooting off like streaks in the afternoon sun as Raiju kicked up sparks of static electricity in his wake. "Andrei... Be careful, please. I don't want to turn my blade on you too." Alpha.1 thought to herself, a tinge of... worry? Creeping into her mind.

The trio of the wolf, the dragon, and the scorpion chimera bounded at a speed beyond sound, tearing up the ground, splintering trees as they ricocheted off of them, traces of Raiju's black-blue lightning mingling with Vivian's golden-blue plasma and Andrei's crimson-black fire. Rocketing out of the woods and onto a wide cliff face, the trio continued with their own hunter at the head. Now they could pick up on footsteps, some unfamiliar, though one pair was all too familiar. Raiju came to a skittering halt on the stones of the cliff as Andrei and Vivian both caught up with the physical embodiment of lightning.

Hairs still prickled on their arms and necks, and the collar of fur on Raiju's neck spiked up as the trio felt a fourth presence here. It was familiar, but... not the last of their allies. Andrei's eyes widened as Ra's rumbling presence made itself known in his mind. Vivian heard the rampaging screams of Geryon in her head, and her eyes shot wide open as her foxlike ears flattened against her head, and the red fur on her arms and legs bristled with static power. "Vivian, it's..." Andrei placed his hand on his sword, slightly unsheathing it so that it could glint black in the sunlight. "... Asura?!"

Ra's rumbling laughter went silent as he too recognized that presence, and Geryon's rampage in Vivian's mind grew more desperate than angry. Vivian felt her hands crackle with lightning, and she felt nerves tense up her gut as sweat formed on her brow. Raiju crackled with energy, then seemed to flash in a blue blur to appear in the air between Andrei and Vivian.

A blast of fire magic exploded forth, separating the two human-chimera hybrids and nearly catching Raiju before it faded, and the wolf hit the ground, blue streaks of fur lightning up with energy as his black pelt bristled entirely into an offensive armor of spikes.

Asura's voice echoed around the empty cliff edge, and he stepped from behind a few raised stones, placing a hand on them blasting them away with a burst of both fire and wind magic. The intermingling reds and greens, they glimmered in Andrei's eyes, and he felt his body tense up as he unleashed his ki, the red-black aura intertwining itself around himself to form a shield of soulful energy. Vivian's claws flexed as she wiggled her fingertips, and she lashed her tail as revenge struck her mind.

Before them, the herculean figure of a shirtless Asura stood before them. He was a titan of muscle and flesh, standing easily at eight feet tall, and his snow-white hair fell from his head to his calves. The whites of the body's eyes were instead black, shot with bloodshot red veins and crimson pupils as he laughed, unveiling four sharp fangs alongside otherwise humanoid teeth. Clenching his fists, Asura's nose twisted upwards in defiance of them both, and his laughter rang out only louder. "Such a pathetic bunch... and to think that the Hierophant believes you both to be prime Chimera!"
