"Simran, Simran." Someone whispered in her ear, pulling her body alongside hers as they walked out. She was numb, numb to all the noise and the chattering. Everyone had figured out it was Simran and Virat and now they'd joined the dots.
Anushka was there as well.
This wasn't a case of a partner cheating on the other. This was premeditated.
When Simran came back to reality, she found herself sitting in a cab, someone holding her hand. She turned to her side and found Gia, sitting with her and rubbing her shoulders, looking at her and then looking at her phone.
She shot a look at Simran and knew, she had retuned in.
"Simran." She said. "You're okay now."
"I will never be okay." Simran muttered, her head spinning. "I thought she'd deleted it. It was too dangerous, I thought she'd deleted it.."
She started crying, putting her head on Gia's shoulder. Gia put her hand on hers, rubbing her fingers on the back of her hand.
"Shh, it'll all be okay." Gia muttered, the car going faster. "I'm taking you to my house, okay? You'll be safe there."
Simran just cried harder, dreading the future.

"Call Jasprit, now." Rohit's voice was heard as Ritika sat in the car, the other couple handling Virat and Anushka. "That fucking bastard isn't going to get out of this alive."
"Let me drive." Ritika said, getting out of the car and running over to the other side. "You're too pissed to drive, let me."
Rohit threw the keys to Ritika as he went to the passenger seat, sitting down and putting his seatbelt. Ritika got in and started the car. They pulled out of the driveway and Rohit was about to call Jasprit up when Bhuvi called him.
"Bro, we're going to Virat's place. Come there."
"Coming."

"What a party." Meera laughed as she held a glass of wine, swirling it around and looking at the glass. "This could very well be my most successful party ever. I wouldn't know how to top this one."
"You said they had a video of you." Shreyas stormed in and sat down, looking at Meera. The whole house had been vacated soon after that video, even Hardik had gone off to see his friends off, after kissing Meera goodbye.
The decoration and glasses were strewn all around, it was like a massacre had just happened here.
"Well?" Shreyas asked, red in the face. "Aren't you going to answer me?"
"I thought you trusted me." Meera said, finally putting the glass down and looking at Shreyas. "You are my best friend, not theirs. Why are you asking so many questions?"
"I won't deny that I'm your friend, Meera." Shreyas leaned back in the chair, looking at her. "But if you're using me to do something bad, I won't stand for it."
"What do you mean something bad?" She stood up, gasping. "The audacity you have to point fingers at me, I helped you when you were off dealing with your druggie cult or did you forget that?"
"I think we've payed our dues to each other." He nodded and got up. "I don't think us being friends is good for either of our mental health. You need to talk to someone."
"Shreyas, you can't get rid of me that easily." Meera spoke and went closer to him. "I know everything about you. Your past and your present. You wouldn't want anyone to know about your drug addicted lifestyle right? Most of all, your professors, your class?"
"You can't fuck with me, Meera." He laughed, looking at her straight in the eyes. "I'll fucking ruin you if you do."
"You've lost everyone, don't you see? Only one who's sticking by you is Hardik and that's because the fucker doesn't know what you've been upto. Good luck with your future but I won't help you anymore."
"Help her with what?" A voice was heard from behind, quickly turning to see Hardik standing there in disbelief. "Help you with what, Meera?"
"School, Hardik." Meera quickly replied, going forward to hold his hand but he quickly pulled it away, keeping his hands to his side.
"Bullshit. Either you tell me the truth or so help me, I'm going to walk out."
Shreyas laughed and shook his head, the noise startling them both. He walked past the two, humming.
"Bye guys, have fun."
