Xavier swiftly turned on the computer, and the screen flickered to life, illuminating the room with its soft glow.

"Okay, now I'll just start up the software," said Xavier.

With practiced ease, he opened the program, revealing a blank canvas.

"Alright, let's create the homepage!" Liam exclaimed.

Each of the members had a specific task to work on. They will share one computer to work on the project.

"Charles, since you are our go to guy for market trends, make sure we know what's hot and what needs to be featured on the homepage. Xavier you handle the coding for the system functionality and the trending section. Zayden, you work on the recommendation algorithm. Judith and I will focus on the overall layout and user interface design." Liam directed, delegating tasks based on each member's strengths.

Everyone nodded. Charles immediately started gathering data and pulling up charts. Xavier as the coder dove into the technical aspects. Zayden will focus on the recommendation system, ensuring it was sophisticated enough to individual user preferences.

Judith and Liam, meanwhile, sketched out the homepage design, debating over the placement of different elements.

"The search bar should be easily accessible," Judith suggested, drawing a quick sketch on a piece of paper. "And the trending section should be prominent, maybe just below the search bar," she finished.

Liam nodded in agreement. "Okay, but what about color schemes? I am thinking red and white."

"Oh no no no Liam!" Judith exclaimed in a panic, shaking her head. "We should not do those colors!" Her exclamation even caught the others' attention.

"And...why not?" Liam asked her, looking confused by her reaction.

"Uh...I just think those color combinations are too harsh. We need something more inviting, more user-friendly. How about a combination of blue and light gray? It's softer on the eyes and gives a more professional look."

I am not gonna plagiarize Earth's YouTube more by copying their color schemes! She thought.

Liam tilted his head, considering the suggestion. "Blue and light gray, huh? Alright, let's see how it looks." He pulled out some colored pencils from his backpack to sketch out the color scheme.

Judith took the blue colored pencil and started shading in different sections of their mockup. "See? The blue gives it a calming effect, and the gray can be used for the borders and buttons, making them stand out without being too overpowering."

Liam watched, the nodded with approval. "Yeah, that does look better. Great call, Judith."

Charles came over to them with his data. "Guys! I found that short-form content is currently huge, and people love tutorials and 'how to' videos. We should make sure these are accessible on the homepage."

"Good point," Judith replied. "We can have a section dedicated to trending tutorials under the main trending videos."

"That's perfect," Liam remarked. " Xavier, how's the coding going?"

Xavier looked up from the screen, a satisfied grin on his face. "The search bar is functional and the trending section is almost done. I just need to integrate the data Charles provided."

"Great! Zayden can work on his task after you're done."

"I already have a basic framework in my mind," Zayden spoke up.

Weeks flew by as the five worked on the club's biggest project. Occasionally, they'd take breaks, stretching their legs and discussing the progress they made.

Later, everything was finally put together. Each task they have been working on was connected. The others gathered around Xavier as he makes sure everything was integrated seamlessly.

"Okay, let's see how it goes," said Xavier, hitting the run button.

The screen refreshed, and the homepage of Metube came to life. The search bar works well. The trending section and recommendations system is displayed. However, there were still bugs to iron out and features to refine. Even though it wasn't perfect, seeing their hard work on the screen was immensely satisfying.

"Not bad for a day's work," commented Zayden.

"Yeah," Liam leaned back in his chair and stretched his legs. "We've got a solid foundation here."

Judith smiled, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "Yeah, it's starting to look like something real."

"So what's next?" Asked Zayden looking specifically at Judith and Liam.

"We make sure everything works perfectly and start developing the other features we talked about. We're on the right track, but there's still a lot to do." Liam replied.

"I think we should continue another time. I think we are good for now," Said Judith.

"Agreed," Said Liam. "We don't need to rush this project. Xavier, save our progress."

After shutting off the computer, the computer club disbanded for the evening.

Next Chapter will focus on Gabriel and Verona.
