What is that b*tch up to?!
Verona Wellester paces across her dorm room with a frustrated expression. The reason: her sister, Judith.
She hadn't seen her sister around at all since the park.
While she didn't expect to see Judith on that day at the amusement park, Verona cannot believe Judith reacted differently than what she anticipated. Despite the dissolution of their engagement, she thought that Judith would blow up in a jealous rage at the sight of her and Gabriel together, but she didn't.
Verona also didn't expect Judith to insult Gabriel by saying he's irrelevant. How dare she say that to someone as perfect as him!
NO WAY IS SHE THE SAME JUDITH!
Her idiot sister has been in love with him for years! She can't just change out of the blue!
Before school started, she had been planning to steal Gabriel from Judith. So she perfected her acting skills to have an innocent flower personality, which was easy for her since it works on her parents and brother.
And it seemed to have worked on Gabriel as well when they met. Then when Judith showed up to confront her in the cafeteria...
Verona was internally excited for her reaction, which Judith didn't disappoint.
All was going well when Gabriel became enraged at Judith for being mean to her, and when he slapped her...
It was the best thing she ever witnessed! Her sister definitely deserved it.
But then it was after the slap when things started to get weird...
Which began with Judith throwing insults at Gabriel and then accepting the engagement being called off.
It was...too easy.
She should be happy that Judith gave her Gabriel on a silver platter. She was at first.
But when she saw Judith acting so unperturbed and being bolder than usual, Verona realizes that her sister's behavior bothered her.
You can't be like this Judith! You can't be so unconcerned for your situation! Why are you not angry?! Depressed?! Jealous?!
Verona and Judith have always never gotten along. She couldn't stand Judith's need for constant attention, and thinking her looks will help get her way. Their parents and brother will always prioritize Verona, never Judith. That is a fact.
She just wants Judith to suffer, to never find happiness in her life.
Right now, she cannot be sure if Judith is actually miserable because she hadn't seen her at all.
Judith hadn't even tried to seek her out, or barge in on her and Gabriel's alone time! It's like she is intentionally avoiding them. She is definitely keeping herself well hidden.
And Verona will definitely NOT seek Judith out.
Verona finally stopped pacing.
"She must be with that boy! What's his name? Zayden? It must be because of him that I don't see her around because he is keeping her occupied!" She exclaimed.
"I need to know their relationship. If they are actually dating, I will devise a plan to steal him from her. This time, it will be a challenge, but will definitely satisfy me. I need to set my sights on him. But where can I find him?" Verona looks thoughtful.
Suddenly, an idea hit. Verona glanced at her phone, a smirk forming on her lips. Nora. Of course. She is one of the friends she made in her freshmen group. That girl is obsessed with knowing everyone and everything in this school. If anyone can find out about Zayden, it's her. Quickly, Verona taps out a message to her.
Verona: Hey Nora, I need a favor. Can you please help me?
Nora responded immediately: Sure. What do you need help with?
Verona: Do you know of anyone in this school named Zayden?
Nora: Zayden? Oh, he is one of the hottest guys in this school! I definitely know who he is! Why are you interested in him?
Verona: I think he is dating my sister, so I want to know about him. I am just looking out for Judith.
Nora: Wow, that's sweet of you to look out for your sister! Of course I'll tell you everything I know about him!
Verona: Thank you so much Nora! You are the best!
Nora: Anytime girl!
Verona smirked.
If Judith thought she could escape her scrutiny, she was sorely mistaken. This game is far from over.
