The guys' dorm room buzzed with energy as Judith and her friends gathered for a celebration. The air carried the scent of fresh pizza, and music mixed with the occasional bursts of laughter from the group. It had been six months since they had started working on Metube, and now, after countless late nights, debugging marathons, and caffeine-fueled coding sprints, they were finally nearing the official launch.
"Alright, alright, let's get this party started!" Charles announced, raising a beer bottle like it was a victory toast. He turned to Judith with a smirk. "Boss, you should say a few words. Inspire us or something."
Judith rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile. "You just want an excuse to stall while you hog the pizza."
"Maybe," Charles admitted, grabbing another slice.
Judith leaned against the couch, looking around at the people who had become closer to her than anyone else. "Fine. I just want to say that six months ago, this was just an idea. And now, we're about to launch something real. We built this from the ground up, and even though it's been stressful, I wouldn't trade this team for anything. So... here's to Metube, and here's to us!"
A chorus of cheers erupted, and bottles clinked together in a toast.
Hillary grinned as she took a sip of her drink, despite usually avoiding alcohol. "You know, I still don't totally get all the tech stuff, but seeing how passionate you are about it makes me want to root for Metube. I hope it blows up."
"It will blow up," Zayden said confidently. "We've optimized everything, and once we squash the last few bugs, we're set."
Xavier leaned back against the couch, swirling the beer in his bottle. "Alright, real talk. Who actually thought we'd make it this far?"
Judith smirked, taking a sip of her drink. "You doubted me, Xavier?"
"Nah," he said, shaking his head. "I doubted us. I mean, six months ago, we were just a bunch of students with an idea. Now, we're about to launch something that could change the internet."
Liam chuckled. "Sounds a little dramatic when you put it like that."
"But he's not wrong," Zayden chimed in. "If this takes off, we're not just some school project anymore. We're legit."
Miranda grinned, propping her chin on her palm. "So, what happens after launch? You guys just sit back and watch the money roll in?"
Judith snorted. "I wish. No, we'll have to monitor everything—server loads, user feedback, bug reports. The first few months will make or break us."
Jennifer, sipping her drink, raised an eyebrow. "And what if it doesn't blow up?"
A silence settled over the group for a moment. It was the one thought none of them wanted to say out loud.
"Then we try again," Charles said firmly, setting his bottle down. "We fix what's broken, learn from it, and keep going."
Judith smiled at him. "Exactly."
Hillary stretched, glancing at the time. "Well, you all might be the future of the internet, but I'm just here for the drinks and gossip. And I need another round." She stood and headed toward the mini-fridge. "Anyone else?"
A few hands went up, and soon, the celebration was back in full swing.
Xavier grabbed his camera and started recording. "Alright, when Metube takes over the world, we'll look back on this night as the moment before everything changed." He panned the camera around the room, catching everyone mid-laughter. "Say something for the future!"
Judith leaned into the frame, raising her bottle. "To Metube. And to all the nights we spent making it happen."
The room erupted in cheers once more, their voices overlapping in the excitement of the moment.
