Alastor cursed to himself as he signed another bill. How many had he done already? No idea.

He looked at his desk. Stack of paper after stack of paper sat in neat piles upon it. Never once was a sheet of the soft white tree stuff out of place.

It truly exhausted him, all this work. It was only worse that he had this slight obsession with tidiness. Everything had to rest in its perfect place, not a single object could be even a milimeter out of place.

That was simply his personal preference, and no, you could not convince him it was OCD.

He took his pen nad spun it a few times. He could hardly think over the growing headache.

He let a shaky breath escape his lips and set the pen down on his desk once more.

All day long he'd felt lathargic, feverish, and overall weak. He usually ignored such things and passed them off as just nerves.

However the feeling only grew worse with time.

He refused to believe he wasn't fine.

I AM FINE. I AM FINE I AM FINE.

I AM NOT ILL. I AM NOT ILL. I AM NOT ILL.

I DON'T NEED SLEEP. I DON'T NEED SLEEP. I DON'T NEED SLEEP.

NO FOOD. NO FOOD. NO FOOD.

CUT YOURSELF...

DEPRIVE YOURSELF OF FOOD AND SLEEP.

SHUT UP! YOU'RE WORTHLESS!

Alastor felt his mind get covered in a dark haze again. The smoke spreading throughout his brain just repeated how ugly and worthless he is. Weak. Pathetic.

It almost made him believe his father was right.

He tried to suppress the thoughts, but it only caused his headache to worsen. A throbbing pain on his forehead and all the way around the area above where a human's ears would be, and spreading all around the back of his head.

He groaned in pain as more lethargy spread through his body.

He trembled a bit, and was forced to rest his head on the desk for a moment.
