Y'all loved the first one so much and made it the part with the most comments so I made a part 2. Also more keekee art by me bc ye
Alastor slowly opened his eyes to see Keekee curled up on his chest.
He stared at her for a moment longer, and then brought her up to his face. She opened her eye and glared at him.
Keeping her held in his arms, he sat up in bed, and somewhat forced her to sit on his lap.
"Thank you for your help last night, little one." Alastor yawned, and began petting The Key on her head, right in between her ears.
The tiny cat began to purr, and closed its eye again.
As much as Alastor would like to admit that he's fine, he really can't.
The door to his room opens, and as though the entire worl hated him, Angel Dust of all people had to walk in.
"Haha! Smiles is sick? Oh... This is hilarious!" The spider exclaimed.
Alastor rolled his eyes, and allowed Keekee to jump off his lap and onto the floor so she could rub against Angel's legs.
"What do you want, Angel?"
Angel entered the room fully and closed the door behind him.
"Hmm... To fuck y-"
"Don't even."
"Fine."
The two of them fell silent, until Keekee made a loud wailing noise and began to spin in a circle rather rapidly.
Angel made a 'da faq?' face.
Alastor raised an eyebrow. "What got you so worked up?" He carefully lifted the covers of his bed, and shifted his feet so that they dangled off the side.
The cat just kept spinning. (Wtf)
Alastor cautiously stood up from the bed, and crouched on the floor by the tornado cat.
He poked the blurred mess of spinning fur, and it launched into the air.
Keekee fell on Alastor's head, causing the deer to lurch fowards as dizziness shrouded hus head and he felt bile rise once more.
Angel Dust laughed and walked over to Alastor. He leaned down so he was in the sitting demon's face. Oh how Alastor wanted to barf all over that stupid spider.
"Awe, smiles having a bad day?~"
Angel laughed even harder, and that was about the last straw for Alastor.
He punched Angel in the face.
The arachnid stumbled back a bit, and shook his head. "Hey! What was that for?!"
Alastor didn't respond, he stood up and ran into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. Keekee ran in just before the door could close.
Angel Dust rolled his eyes. He knew Alastor was sick, but not that he was sick with a stomach flu.
"Bambi! Stop crying in there and get your ass out here!"
There was no response for several minutes, and then Alastor shouted: "I'm taking a shower!"
Angel shrugged and left the room.
Alastor could hardly stand up straight as he felt the warm water hit his skin and run down his body in thousands of tiny water droplets.
He was shivering, and yet had a fever. What an amazing couple of days he's been having! Not.
Keekee scratched the glass shower door and meowed continuously and loudly.
"Hush... I'm trying to take a shower in peace."
Keekee just meowed even more loudly.
Alastor was about to reach for the door, when all the sound around him muffled out. His focus faded and he couldn't even keep his eyes planted on the door handle as he felt a swaying feeling wash over him.
He tried to stay upright, but ultimately slid down against the wall and sat head against the shower door, panting hard.
Keekee scratched the door even more. "Mew? Meow!" She was a bit panicked, and tried to reach for the handle herself. As expected, she was much too short.
Huffing in annoyance, The Key dat down and looked at Alastor sternly.
The deer weakly opened his eyes, qhich looked exhausted, and tried to sit up.
He ended up slamming his head against the shower wall by accident.
Keekee meowed in worry, and began pacing in front of the door.
Alastor took a long moment to catch his breath, and then slowly stood up. He leaned a hand on the wall for support as he opened the shower door, and stepped onto the rug outside it.
He dried off and got dressed as best he could, picked up Keekee and held her clise to his chest, left the bathroom and turned off the lights, before finally collapsing onto his bed.
He brought the black cat close to his chest and put it up against his chin.
Keekee didn't struggle and instead closed her eyes. She liked being clise to someone.
Despite the comfort of the cat nect to him, he still felt uncomfortable.
He had a good feeling it was because of the fever, but he trued his best to ignore the burning of his head and the nausea in his stomach.
At long last, he fell asleep.
Keekee crawled her way out of his arms, and Shadow appeared next to her.
"Meow!" She pointed a foreleg at Alastor.
Shadow growled and frowned.
"Mew, meow?"
Shadow shrugged and nodded.
(Translation for all my peeps:
Keekee: Will he get better?
Shadow: Do you have fur?
Keekee: what's that mean?
Shadow: Yes.)
The sentient shadow and The Key kept watch over Alastor while he slept. Keekee keeping him warm while Shadow put an icepack on his forehead.
The two stayed there all night, conversing and playing card games. (They are both surprisingly skilled at Black Jack.)
When morning came, the shadow and the cat were exhausted and sleeping together on one of the armchairs.
Alastor woke up feeling much better, and looked at them.
With a sigh and a slap to his face, he mumbled: "I am not getting sentimental... I am not getting sentimental... I am not getting sentimental..."
But he couldn't help but drape a blanket over the two of them as he got dressed. He smiled, a genuine one this time, and before leaving the room, he whispered: "Thank you!"
