"𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐓, 𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐘."
Sharon opened her daughter's bedroom door, and walked inside, followed by Richard to find their daughter sound asleep. The couple sat down on their daughter's bed and gently roused her. "Scarlett, honey, it's time to get up." the older blonde woman kindly smiled
Scarlett softly stirred as she turned over on her side to face her mother. "What time is it mom?"
"A little after 9." Sharon smiled as she ran her fingers through her daughter's blonde hair. "Since you got in late, we wanted to give you a chance to rest, but it's also the day of the tournament. We promised Daniel and Amanda we would be there."
"I don't think I wanna go." Scarlett said as she pulled the covers over herself and went back to sleep.
"Is this about what happened between Daniel and Johnny last night?" Richard questioned. "Because that's been going on since high school."
Scarlett sat up as she held the pillow to her chest. "Daddy, it's not just that. Sam, Robby, and I went to a party at the canyon and Miguel was drunk. He was getting not only in Robby's face, but in Sam's as well. One thing led to another, he was trying to punch Robby, but he punched Sam instead." Sharon and Richard looked at each other, then back at her daughter as she continued. "The thing is, Cobra Kai is turning all of my friends in to people they're not. I mean I get it, they were bullied, but Miguel and Hawk are turning into little cocky assholes."
"Sweetheart, that's what Cobra Kai does. It reels you in, when you least expect it. Believe me, I saw it happen with my own friends who happened to be Johnny's friends as well. When they became bullies, I wanted nothing more to do with them, as honor was more important to me." Richard said. "Now, your mother and I aren't gonna force you to go to the tournament, but Robby will be there, and I think he would like to have your support."

"We don't have to stay long, we'll check out a few matches, and we'll hit the road, all right." Daniel said as he, Amanda, Sam, Scarlett, Anthony, Richard, and Sharon walked through the door
"There he is." One of the guys on the board said, making them smile and turn around. "Hey, everyone, it's the former champion in the flesh. Good to see you champ."
While the LaRussos walked to the arena to take their seats, the Millses walked to the snack bar to purchase refreshments. After the cashier gave them their snacks and drinks, they walked into the arena where they found Daniel and Amanda had saved them seats, and Scarlett took her seat next to Sam.
"Welcome, everyone, to the 50th annual All Valley Under 18 Karate Championship!" The announcer said. "You'll love the new mats. All right, let's start by welcoming all the local dojos competing today. From Granada Hills, All Star Karate. Fighting out of Topanga, we have Topanga Karate."
