𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 the disaster at Valley Fest, a freshly showered Scarlett sat on her bed painting her toenails as Elton John's Lucy in the Sky with Dimonds played on a low volume. She glanced over to the night stand, as she heard her cellphone ring. She placed the nail polish down on the towel, and reached over to the nightstand to disconnect her phone from the charger and looked at the caller id which read: Incoming FaceTime Aunt Ali Mills 🌺 : Accept or Decline
Scarlett smiled as she answered her aunt's call. "Do you have any idea how much I miss you auntie?"
Ali smiled on the other line as she adjusted her reading glasses, something she always wore when she made FaceTime calls, or even talked on the phone so she could see better. "I miss you too, my darling niece. So tell me, how's the valley? Has it changed much?"
"I mean, the weather is nice, but nothing beats the snow." Scarlett smiled.
"So, your mom told me you have met a certain someone." Ali smiled. "Tell me about him, she also mentioned he lives with you guys?"
Scarlett blushed from head to toe, what could she say about Robby? He was so good to her, and treated her so good. "Well, his name is Robby Keene, he has the most beautiful green eyes I've ever seen in my life. Yes, he does live with us, as his family and home life is rather complicated."
"Well, I think it's wonderful you guys have taken him in." Ali smiled. "Not many people in the hills will do that."
"When are you coming to the valley?" Scarlett asked. "I want to see you something awful."
"Well, that's actually what I was calling to tell you. I've already told your parents, but the hospital has placed me at Cedars-Sinai with your dad, on the pediatric unit as head of pediatric surgery." Ali smiled. "I start after Christmas so I'll be there in December."
"I can't wait to see you." Scarlett smiled.
"It will be here before you know it." Ali smiled. "I won't keep you. Get some rest and call me later, okay?"
"Okay, goodnight auntie." Scarlett smiled. "I love you."
"Goodnight hon." Ali smiled. "I love you too."
