DAY 1
Sky's Point of View
I scan the radar on my laptop and curse quietly to myself. I send Dean a quick text hoping he responds.
Sky: Hey Dean ... It's been a while since we last spoke. I wanted to ask you something.
Dean: Sure. What's up?
Sky: I ... I need somebody to join me for this tornado-hunting season.
Dean: What about Alec ... he joined you last year didn't he?
Sky: Yeah ... about that ... we were on a chase last year and we stopped so I could take pictures but then he hitched a ride from someone and left me alone to chase by myself ...
Dean: What a jerk ... anyway I'll join you, but you'll have to pick me up ...
Sky: Send me the address
Dean: It's almost 20 minutes away from your dorm
Sky: Okay ...
Dean: See you tomorrow, Sky
Sky: Bye
I plug everything in so it can charge overnight.
I set my alarm for 6:40 and start loading up the duffel bags that I'm bringing. Once they are packed , I set them by the door.
I yawn realizing it's practically 11:00 at night. I turn off the light and fall asleep. My alarm goes off at 6:40 the following morning. I groan at the sunlight.
I pack up the remainder of my belongings including two of my good luck bracelets that I got from my dad and put them on and make sure they are on tight.
I start carrying stuff out to my car and put it in the backseat. I sprint back up to my dorm room and grab my phone and its charger before locking my door.
I head out to my car and text Dean.
Sky: OMW. Do you want anything from Starbucks?
Dean: I'm good
Sky: Okay. See you soon
I get my coffee from the Starbucks on campus and pull up to his house.
Sky: I'm here.
Dean: Be right out.
The front door opens. Dean comes out with two duffels and puts them in the way back while I get my stuff organized. He locks the front door and gets in the passenger's seat. I sigh deeply and get in the driver's seat.
