"Did you guys pass out? Everyone is saying they passed out but they don't know why"
*That has to have something with Grian's deal..* Mumbo thought before answering. "No we didn't. We left pretty soon after you did to see if we could hunt down Grian?"
"Did you find him?"
"Yeah" Pearl answered "he said he's on some quest hunting down watchers."
"Great. Just great." Suma sighed.
"We got some news for you too"
"What did Grian do now?"
GeminiTay: Pearl!! You wanna duel. Last one of the season
Pearlescentmoon: sure!
"You can handle telling him without me right?"
"Of course."
"Bye" Pearl flew off and headed to wherever Gem was.
"What happened?"
"Grian made a deal with a watcher. I can only assume it was the leader of them all"
"Deal? What kind of deal?"
"He didn't say."
"Alright.." X turned away, concerned about this deal that G has made.
"We kinda just have to trust him on this one"
"I know although I don't like it"
"He can be trusted. Probably. So did you find anything in the code about the whole server fainting?"
"Nothings wrong. I checked everything twice."
"Maybe the answer will reveal itself eventually. You get everyone whitelisted?"
"Yep. Season 10 is ready for us to go. I just need to find the portal and get everyone through it."
"I'll let you do that
in peace then"
"See you"
Xisuma headed off to find that portal and mark down the co-ordinates. Mumbo headed to the mega vault and to see Grumbot NPG and RG. How is he gonna get them to a season 10 portal somewhere in the world. That he doesn't know yet. He landed in the cave where the rift lies for what might be the very last time.
He looked at the rift. It was closed. Covered in obsidian and crying obsidian. He looked back at Grumbot then back at the rift again. Lightbulb! He thought of something. Mumbo grabbed a piece of paper and wrote on it using an anvil then inputted it into Grumbot's system. A few beeps and mustache wiggles later, Grumbot spat out a response

(This reminds me of that line in HTTYD 3 where Hiccup says 'lead them to the hidden world' as a final goodbye to Toothless. Maybe it's time I re-watched these movies for like a thousandth time.)

Mumbo turned back to the rift and a small portal had opened. That'll lead them to season 10. They just have to wait for X to give the word. And it's finally time for the season 9 world to be put to rest.
Xisuma: Alright Hermits! I have found the portal to bring us to season 10. We'll go tomorrow morning so today is the last full day we'll be here.
Zedaph: it's exciting, but kinda sad to think about.
