"Oh thank god." I exclaimed and threw myself onto him, earning a pained grown.

"Sorry." I said and pulled back but Keefe just smiled. My face grew red when I saw all the questioning stares.

"You scared us Keefe." Biana said.

"Well that's the only way we can have fun around here."

The talking was drowned out by Fitz's voice filling my head.

"Is there something going on between you two?" He asked and I wished I was a dwarf that could tunnel down under the ground and escape.

"Yes." I replied, not wanting to lie. He left my mind and I looked away from me, I knew it hurt him but it had no reason to.

I returned my attention to Keefe who now had Elwin flashing lights around his head.

Everyone sat with Keefe for a while, and by the time everyone went home, Grady and Edaline walked into the room together.

"We're glad you're okay." Grady told Keefe and Keefe gave him a small smile.

"And I wanted you to know that we aren't letting you go back to candleshade." Grady continued and all of the blood ran from Keefe's face.

"You don't understand l, he will kill me." Keefe spoke and Grady shook his head.

"He won't ever get the chance to lay a hind on you again. He's facing a tribunal."

"Okay." Keefe said shakily and sat up, not wanting to process what Grady just told him.

"So what will I do?" He asked and Edaline smiled.

"You will stay with us."

I gasped and ran to bear hug Grady and Edaline.

"Thank you so much."

I let go of them and ran to hug Keefe as well, he had tears rolling down his cheeks.

"Now there will be rules. And Sophie is still grounded." Grady said and Keefe smiled.

"I'll follow whatever rules you guys want, you can ground me too, whatever it takes to get away from my father." Keefe said and Edaline placed a hand on Keefe's shoulder.

"You will be safe from him here."
