The final bell for the weeks classes sounds and everyone runs out of class including me and Claudia. We both had the same music class surprisingly. I walk to my locker with Claudia when she asks me something I never have thought anyone would ask me ever...
" so you wanna go to the beach with me, Zeke and Zach? We're going tomorrow since the news broadcasted a heat wave and we thought you could come along too. So are you? Would you? I don't want to be stuck with my baby brother and my boyfriend the whole day. I need female companionship!!" She babbles
Wow... I never thought being kind to a class mates baby brother would end up me having a friend. This is to good to be true.
" um... Ok? but why did you ask me? Wouldn't you rather go with Felicia?? She's more... Um...social than me." I ask
"No. Felicia Is my friend yes, but she constantly talks about how dreamy Brendan is. Plus so far I'm better friends with you than I am with her. So anyway... Your coming. Question do you have a bikini because your gonna need one." She states
I give her a confused look and she laughs a little before explaining.
" well you don't want to be trapped in a one piece in the heat, plus you can get other boys to notice you. You are single are you not?"
" yeah I am, but I don't want to meet some stranger on the beach when I am practically naked, I'm for one not social and don't like my body being exposed and two I don't want someone dropping something onto my skin," I rebut
She laughs loudly before rolling her eyes. What was so funny about that? I was just commenting my insecurity.
" me and Zach met like that. We didn't know we went to the same school since we were not in the same classes for anything, and one day me and my family were at the beach and I was walking around to be away from my family, and I was in my bikini when I walked right into Zach and he accidentally smashed his ice-cream onto my stomach." She laughs out
" of course," I over exaggerate
" so this means no bikini? Well I'm just going to have to take you shopping tonight not only for the bikini, but I need an outfit too." She states
I roll my eyes and nod my head. I'm not the type to worry about fashion, I worry about things like actually staying alive. Luckily I get the same working hours Candyce had. So I can actually go shopping with Claudia tonight.
" ok anyway we'll meet at 4:00 at the mall closest to the cafe," she states
" mall? Who says mall? It's sounds so... American... Don't forget we aren't american." I ask
" a lot of people say mall who aren't American Summer. You gotta get your head out of the books," Claudia laughs before walking off
I just shake my head slightly unable to comprehend what just happened before I get to my locker. I open my locker and put my books away before pulling out my bag and running to get to the bus... Not only did I miss the bus but I ran Into Cameron who also missed the bus. GREAT! Now I have to take a 30 minute run home before going out shopping with Claudia!... Oh exercise you Cruel heartless-
"Hey are you ok summer?" Cameron asks
I blink for a bit trying to get out of my little mental scolding state before standing up, I let out a sigh before starting to walk away. Completely forgetting Cameron was there.
" summer wait up!" He yells while running up to me
" hm, oh I ran into you Cameron!" I say face palming
