A/N okay, so new story. It was originally meant to be in a transferred series, but since I'm writing a sequel for Tomboy, that's gone out through the window... This one will be slightly more romance, not too much, only later chapters. I wrote this around the same time as I started tomboy, so it's not exactly up to date with my writing style. But I'm proud of it, and hope you guys like it. Please leave feedback, or vote :)

Thanks, enjoy Phoenix

Part 1 - Years 6+7

Chapter 1 - Mel

I love how most people don't care what school you go to... So, living in the past I'll tell you the story of my friend, who became the school's most wanted girl. By boys that is.

My name's not important, but if you must know, people call me Mel. From Melanie? Anyway, this isn't about me, it's about my friend Natalie.

She started off as a nerd. Being from London, it was weird to accept her first. She was really clever, but boys didn't care at that time... Anyway, I need to tell you about me a bit before we go head first into the whole thing.

Basically, I don't want to big myself up, but I am one of the popular crowd

and I am popular with boys too. Don't worry if you're thinking that this will be a story about me making my friend look good, because it won't be. Promise. It'll be all based on facts! Promise!

Anyway, I belong to a group with some boys, and Nat arrived in year 6.

It was the first day, and we were outside our new classroom, by the fire exit, which is how everyone was standing around.

Year 6 is the top year of primary, of course, and we were officially the coolest year and people in the school. So, we didn't know what to think when we saw a girl roller skate into the playground, and then reception. Sam, Matt, Nick and I shared a quick look and shrugged. We'd find out in assembly anyway.

We talked about our summer with the class (There was a year 6 class, a year 5 and 6 mixed class, but we were in the full year six one) and when Ms Griffis opened the door, went in. We sat down anywhere we wanted, as she said she'd put us in places when assembly finished, and she told us some rules. The normal things about safety and the uniform policy.

Did I mention that our uniform is way uncool? Dark green jumper with a shirt under it, black trousers/shorts for boys and the same or skirt for girls with black tights. Black shoes, of course, and if not tights, then white, grey or black socks. I don't know who came up with it, but it was so not the fashion these days... Anyway, sorry about that, it's just me. I'll try to stop myself from exploding like that...

When she was finished, Ms Griffis gave us a sheet to write some facts about ourselves and then hand them in. She said it would help her to get to know us easier. She knew our names already, but she didn't know our faces, and this way, she knew how to teach us so we'd understand easier and quicker.

Well, that's what she said, but we didn't object. She also said that

there would be a new student in our class, who wasn't here on the induction day, as she was from London and couldn't make it on that day. She said we'd see her in assembly.

Did I also mention that our school is religious? Yeah, most schools are in our town.

Anyway, after we handed the

sheets in, we lined up in alphabetical order and went into assembly. We got the lecture about behaving as we are the oldest students in the school and we need to set an example to the younger kids, blah blah...
