"Gold really does fit your skin tone," Maggie tells me as she straightens my necklace.

I grin, "Thank you. It's always been my favorite."

"How did you get lucky enough for your engagement ring to match you perfectly?" She asks, glancing down at the ring.

"Luck? It was my grandma's." I answer, swirling the ring that sits on my left ring finger.

"It's gorgeous," she compliments it.

"So double wedding still on?" I tease her.

"Of course it is," she agrees.

"You look breathtaking," Rick compliments me as he looks me up and down

"You look breathtaking," Rick compliments me as he looks me up and down.

I give him a flirty smile, "You don't look too bad yourself."

"Care to get this party started?" He asks, taking my hand into his and bringing it to his lips. He kisses the top of my hand making heat rise to my cheeks.

"I don't know if I'll make it out of the house without wanting time for you first," I answer honestly.

I've been dying to get my hands onto his sexy body for days now.

"Tonight, darling. I promise," He says, pulling me to his chest.

I press one hand to his chest to steady myself and the other hand on the side of his neck. I lean up and press a gentle kiss to his jawline. His hands hold onto my waist as he leans down to connect our lips. He taste like mint and smells like cedar wood. Two things I'm not used to when it comes to him.

In this world, you get used to people not smelling the best anymore. You get almost immune to the smell because not only do the people around you smell like shit, but so do you. You can't shower or brush your teeth anymore. There's no more judgement on how you smell because no one can control it.

I grip onto his white button up and crush myself to him, wanting to feel closer. A groan escapes his lips, allowing me access to explore his mouth with my tongue. Our tongues fight for dominance as we both explore each other. His hands run down my backside to grip my ass.

"A quickie?" I ask, breaking away from him.

"A quickie," he quickly agrees as he grabs the back of my thighs to pick me up.

"Can you guys lose the jackets?" I ask my older brothers

"Can you guys lose the jackets?" I ask my older brothers.

We are standing outside of Deanna's cocktail party after I found these two trying to skip it.

"You know I don't like to socialize," Dean pouts.

"I absolutely do not care. We need to try to fit in here," I state, crossing my arms over my chest.

"So annoying," Dean mumbles but takes off his jacket anyway.

I hold out my hand as Dean hands over his jacket and Sam copies his actions.

"Don't lose my jacket!" Dean calls out as he makes his way to the front door.

"I won't!" I agree, knowing that this is his favorite one.

Deanna greets us at the door as we all enter her very beautiful home. It's a home that I always dreamed of having one day. I hang up Dean and Sam's jackets before looking around for Rick. I find him talking to some attractive blond woman. I think she said her name was Jessie.

I make my way towards them but stop when I spot Carl and Judith. I grin at them both as I reach out for Judith. She immediately reaches for me as well.

"Are you guys having fun?" I ask Carl.

He shrugs, "It's just a party with a bunch of people. It's kinda weird."

I nod in agreement, "it's definitely weird."

"I think this will be good for us. A safe place for Judith," Carl says, looking at his baby sister.

"It's definitely good for us. I just hope everyone can behave," I mumble the last part.

"Go talk to dad, i'm gonna take her back to the house," Carl says, taking Judith back.

"Walk carefully," I nod, kissing both of their foreheads.

I draw my attention back to my fiancé and begin the short walk to him. Once I catch his eye, a grin immediately spreads across his face.

"Jessie, I want you to meet my beautiful fiancee, Eleanor," Rick introduces us, slipping his arm around my waist and pulling me against his side.

"It's lovely to meet you," I hold out my hand and Jessie takes it.

"You as well. Rick was just telling me about you," she says with a small smile.

I recognize a sadness in her eyes that I know very well. It's then that a man approaches us and introduces himself as her husband. It makes sense now. His body language towards her shows that he likes control.

I'm introduced to more people throughout the night and I know I won't remember most of the names. I catch my brothers talking to other men and drinking. Some things don't change with those boys, especially Dean. He will drink alcohol any chance he gets.

I heard that Sasha ran out of the house upset which is understandable. We just went from practically starving to drinking wine in fancy glasses. There's air conditioning and running water. We haven't experienced those things in months and some of us, since the beginning.

I'm surprised we haven't went into shock.
