Peter had woken up that day with no expectations. So what if he was turning 19. The last year and a half had been hell for him.

The only birthday that had mattered to him was his 18th. Another year meant nothing but the mark of the passage of time.

Peter was fairly certain no one had known it was his birthday in the first place. He had woken to no messages, not that he had expected any.

But he thought it would have been nice for Tony to have at least known. But Peter couldn't blame him when he had never told the man in the first place.

And he had plans to see the older man for lunch that day, he would tell Tony then that it was his birthday and maybe he would get a congratulations.

It was a normal day through and through. He went to the Daily Bugle in the morning to drop off a few photos and pick up a cheque.

He went back to his apartment to edit some more photos. Jameson had even given him a new assignment, going to a new building opening to get a few pics.

Nothing major and Peters whole purpose at the Bugle was still Spider-Man, and well now Deadpool. But it was nice that sometimes Jameson would give him something else.

But it was the most boring day that he had experienced in a long time. So he decided that of all days he was going to go visit some places in the city before lunch and then an early patrol.

He grabbed his old skateboard and made his way out. He went by his old apartment building where he had lived with his aunt and uncle.

He went to Delmar's, he still worked there a few shifts a week but he wanted a number 5. He grabbed a sandwich for Tony too. He went by midtown, remembering all the times he had there with Ned and MJ.

He went to the cemetery. It was a very quick visit, just stopping by each grave to say hello and goodbye.

He couldn't bring himself to go to Gwen's grave. Feeling like he'd been betraying her with all the thoughts that occupied his mind about Deadpool.

Although the day wisped by Peter found it rather enjoyable. It had been a long time since he had felt nostalgic in a good way. It was something he missed.

Peter made his way towards the meeting spot with Tony on his skateboard. Bobbing and weaving through the people and traffic.

It was a different type of feeling, skating. It had all the makings of the air rushing past him, and the thrill beneath his feet. It wasn't anywhere near swinging through the city, but it had its own beauty.

Peter saw Tony's car immediately, he skated up right beside it, coming to a halt beside the drivers side window. Tony dramatically rolled down the window.

"Well, hello there hooligan, shall we go for a drive?" Tony smirked.

Peter laughed, went around and hopped in the passenger seat of the car. They drove off, towards somewhere they could eat their sandwiches in peace and just enjoy each others company.

On that particular day he had made sure Tony didn't bring anyone else with him. Tony didn't know it was his birthday, Peter planned to tell him.

But plans never go too well for Peter do they.

As they pulled up to the building Peter was confused, but he followed Tony nevertheless into the building and to the elevator and up they went.

The doors opened to a beautiful terrace. They walked over the the comfortable looking couches and sat down. Peter opened the bag and handed the other sandwich to Tony.
