Honestly, if you were to tell Peter Parker that everything he had been through. From losing the people he loves all the way to revealing himself to the Avengers.

That it would all lead to this? To this moment where he was standing in front of a door, behind it holding someone that had hurt him. Betrayed him.

And that Peter himself was going to be going through that door, to speak to the man again? Well, that little Peter Parker kid, would have told you to kick rocks.

Yet here he was. Standing on the other end of a door. Hoping that the person on the other end wouldn't try and hurt or betray him once he was in front of him.

But he had to try. One last time.
Give it one last chance at something.

Give one chance on anything...

Peter raised his hand and he knocked. The seconds ticked by for what felt like hours, his mind ran with wild thoughts of who was behind the door.

And what was going to happen once that door was open.

He heard him before the door was even open. The pattering of feet on the floor, growing ever closer to the other side of the door in front of him.

Peter's heart beat with fury, his ears rang with a low hum, he pushed his fingers together in a circular motion as he felt the sweat coat his palms.

One step, two step, three...

The door opened.

There stood Deadpool.

He wasn't in the iconic red suit, he didn't wear the mask in which hid his face, nor the gloves that concealed his hands.

There stood Deadpool, in a black hoodie and grey sweatpants.

Wade looked confused as he stood there, unsure of who was standing before him and why he was there.

"You don't look like a Perry, and where's my pie?" Deadpool asked, looking around.

"No, my name isn't Perry, and I have no idea where your 'pie' is. But you do know my name." Peter stood with hesitance, unsure of what was to come next.

Wade stood still, obviously having recognized the voice, his face held a look of pain. Wade closed his eyes tight and turned his head downwards slightly.

"Why would you ever show me who you are..." Wade asked quietly.

"Because, I need to have control over showing just one person." Peter spoke quietly.

The two men stood before each other, Wade was tempted to slam the door shut and pretend he had never seen his face, but he knew it would be for nothing.

As if he could ever forget that face now.

"So, you gonna let me in?" Peter spoke first.

Wade hesitated for just a moment, then he stood to the side letting Peter walk past him into the apartment.

Messy was an understatement. Peter didn't think he had ever seen a place more cluttered, besides those people on those hoarding shows he supposed.

"Um, nice place you got here." Peter said with as little sarcasm as he could.

Wade snorted, "Yeah a real home I got, what a winner."

The two stood just a few feet in the doorway, as Wade took a breath and closed the door.

"Why are you here?" Wade tested.

"I told you-" Peter started.

"No, why me? Why would you show me who you are? After..." Wade trailed off.
