After the ice rink, everyone was fairly exhausted, and they decided to part ways then. By the time they finished, it was 6pm, and the next day was a school day.
"Why must there be school, ugh," Heeseung complained, as the seven walked out the mall.
"Oh come on, it's just one more week. Then you'll see if you graduate or not. And plus, we'll probably just get our results and get free period," Jake defended, being the optimist his was.
"You're very weird, you know that," Heeseung stated, lazily looking at Jake.
"And you love it," the younger teased, winking at Heeseung, which got the older's full attention. His back snapped up straight and his doe eyes became wide. Jungwon and Sunoo gasped and faced Jake with the same expression, while Jay, Sunghoon and Niki just gave Jake approving looks.
Jake didn't say anything but blush slightly and faced anywhere but Heeseung.
"Um, the sky is really pink today."
Jungwon rolled his eyes, finally recognising the Jake he knew, "Amazing, then I guess the grass is green."
"Omg is that building blue today?!" Niki exclaimed, pointing to a crusty and mustly old building that was faded baby blue. Jake smacked his head and blushed furiously.
"Shut up! That building has been blue for years!"
"ExcAtly!" Sunghoon chimed in, pointing at Jake.
Jake whined and buried his face in his hands, which made everyone laugh, including Heeseung. The oldest walked towards Jake and swung an arm around his shoulder, which made the younger extremely flustered now.
Jungwon watched from afar and smiled at the cute realationship his best friend had with Heeseung. It was finally relieving to see the two like they were before...
As Jungwon was observing the two, he felt a sudden presence beside him. He knew it too well and didn't need to turn around to know who it was. He chuckled and said, "you look like a freak staring at the side of my head like that."
When there was no response, he turned his head and met eyes with Jay. The older was looking intensely into Jungwon's eyes, and it made his breath hitch. The look he was giving Jungwon made the younger's heart pound hard against his chest.
"They're cute, aren't they?" Jay suddenly asked.
Jungwon, flustered, nodded too quickly and it made Jay laugh. He looked over at Jungwon softly and whispered, "Do you ever wish to be loved like that?"
Intrigued by the sudden question, Jungwon tilted his head and answered carefully. "Um...yeah. I guess. I've liked two people so far in my life...but none of them had been true love or anything."
Jay nodded thoughtfully. Jungwon was just about to leave it at that but then a sudden thought hit him. He quickly turned his head to Jay who was looking ahead.
"Hyung, what about your love life?"
Jungwon didn't know what he did but Jay's face suddenly turned dark. He looked down and cleared his throat, probably hesistating to tell the younger.
"Uh! I mean, you don't need to if you don't-"
"I liked a girl once," Jay cut the latter off, "in Highschool. She was like, the dream girl I always wanted to get together with. I was really popular so it wasn't hard for me to get a girl like her. We dated, for about a year, but it wasn't long before she showed her true colours. She was a cheater and just used shortcuts in life. She didn't like to work, and always complained that life was unfair when she got everything she wanted. I had really wanted to break up with her, but her parents were business partners with my dad, and they wanted their children to make a new generation and take over the companies."
