Lilly rose from her bed feeling terribly over rested. Her eyes wonder from the TV that was still on but muted, to the mirror directly in front of the bed. Lilly discovered she was strategically placed in the middle of her full sized bed, and she was impressed with the accuracy. I didn't even bother to tie up my hair, so the tangles increased my volume to Chaka Khan. The worst part is, I think the look is actually cool. Lilly briefly thought of what would happen if she went out like this, but decided the people of Los Angeles didn't deserve to behold her abstruse laziness on the day of her shared graduation party. She tried to think of things to make herself feel better.

I am an alma mater to the most studious scholar. I am the prancing Pegasus to a king named Olegus.

These were a new set of motivating words, and invigorated her to do nothing but sit on the edge of her bed and check her phone. A text appeared on her screen, from Addilyn.

Addilyn: Come over here.

Lilly: Why?

Addilyn: Because.

Lilly: Ugh.

The ride was a begrudging 7 minutes. Lilly thought briefly before forming a fist to rap against the door. They have I doorbell, but I don't want to wake anyone up. Before her knuckles could even make contact to the wood, Jayce answered.

"Hi." He said, then left with the door wide open, obviously in one of his moods.

"Um... hi?" Lilly said to his lofting scent as she let herself in. She liked the scent, because it wasn't cologne. It was just his scent, as a person. Lilly liked the company of his scent more than him himself. The smell was gone, but Lilly still stood there sniffing the air lightly.

"He never did smell like Axe on ass, I can give him that." Addilyn said leaning on the wall at the top of the spiral staircase.

"True." Lilly said running up the stairs. "Okay I'm like, ready for this surprise."

"Who said it was a surprise?"

"If you said it, it wouldn't be that nice of a sur-"

"No no. I refuse to deal with your logic right now, Lilly." Addilyn said heading to her closet and throwing dresses at her. "These are all too short for me now. Pick one to wear tonight."

Lilly sighed. "Look Addilyn, just because I'm not filthy rich doesn't mean I can't afford a dress. Even if they are-" her eyes darted to the tag of a Chanel dress. "Never mind. Why are they all the same color? Gold?"

"We both have to wear gold. I know, matching, ew. But gold is for the prosperity we should have as graduates." Addilyn said stumbling into her own golden dress. It was longer than Lilly's, but clung to Addilyn's body more. The dress suited her.

"Is Mason in on this too?" Lilly asked, selecting the Chanel dress, that happened to be love at first sight.

"No. Mason isn't exactly a family favorite. Plus he thinks gold outfits are for girls. Like what does gold have to do with sexuality? It's a color! A decent of yellow. How sexist, right?"

"What a pig." Lilly said half-invested in the answer to her own question. "Speaking of pigs, I'll be in the bathroom. You left me no time to do my morning routine."

Once Lilly was in the bathroom, she saw her toothbrush she kept there and a towel already out for her. After brushing her teeth she turned the shower on, cranking the "hot" knob all the way to the right. Then she gently turned the cold knob. Lilly stepped in and was automatically soaked in the revitalizing stream.
