Enzo Marcelo

I wanted to see Mateo when I got home but he was not here. He probably went to his house. I already miss him so much. But I'm glad he is not here. He does not need to witness what was about to happen in this house.

I look at the man I so very much hate. Every muscle in my body is begging me to beat the shit out of him, launch myself at him. However I restrain myself from doing anything.

"Why did you bring me here and not the building." He asks me curiously as he takes off his sunglasses and I raise my eyebrow at him. It seems like he might have shed a few tears.

That's strange.

"You know that the building is waiting for you." I snarl and crack my neck. "But before that, I have something to ask." I announce before making my way into my house. He follows me behind.

"All of you can stay there. And stay on alert." I demand my men who immediately nod at my order and take their positions at the front door.

Leo doesn't say a word as he follows me behind, deep in his thoughts.
As much as I'm intrigued to know what is going in his mind, I decide not to talk about it. It's not my business.

When we reach the living room, I motion him to sit on the sofa across from me as I sit down. I take out a cigarette out of my pocket and bring it to my mouth. Burning it with my lighter, I take a puff and blow it the air.

"Enzo, I don't care what you think about me." He starts off, being serious for the first time ever since we saw each other again after the Tom and Jerry chase. "But I really don't want you to doubt Mateo, he." I cut him off as soon as Mateo's name comes up. "Stop right there." I warn him, my voice coming out in daggers. "Don't take his name." I snap at him before taking a deep breath and try not to throw a punch at him.

"I didn't call you here to inquire Mateo or anything. I don't want to hear you give any kind of clarification of the boy." I explain calmly before tapping my cigarette and throwing its ashes in the ashtray. "I talked to him and I believe what he said." I add.

He looks at me with a stunned expression. A little shocked but smiling in the inside. That's what he looks like. "That..that's good." He mutters before nodding and a small smile appears on his face.

"Leo." I take his name after ages, gaining his attention. "Why did you do it?" I demand an explanation which also takes him by surprise. He looks at me and then at the table in front of him. I can tell he is not believing what he is hearing.

"Why are you asking?" He states, a little too coldly but the confusion is also very much evident in his voice. "You're not the one who asks explanations or reasons."

His cold tone somehow makes me furious at how ignorant this bustard is.

"You're very much right." I arrogantly answer him. I take the last puff of the cigarette before tossing it in the ashtray.

"I'm not the one who asks reasons, I'm the one who kills the one who betrays." I agree with the man who looks at me with a straight face. "But I thought maybe I could do a favor to you by asking you why you made such a foolish mistake before killing you." I remark, grinning wildly as I fold my arms over my shoulder. "After all we were good friends. Or so I thought."

"You know your reason isn't going to save you." I add, but this time, it's not 100 percent truth because I had promised Mateo to think about Leo's future.

And I can't break a promise to him.

"What if I don't tell you?" He raises an eyebrow and I almost groan. Come on man, he is being no fun. What if he actually doesn't tell the reason? It would mean that he indeed has bad intention. It's a win for me in both situation.
