Leo Pedro
A snort leaves my mouth when I look at Anthony who stands with his back faced to Enzo, his eyes wide and his face pale. Even though Anthony has no idea what he was interrupting, he just stands there following me.
He looks adorable. My boyfriend looks adorable.
My mind races back to yesterday and I feel the rush of gratefulness to have him in my life overwhelm within me.
"You what?" Anthony's angry voice echoes in the room. My eyes move from my phone to the boy who has his head on my laps.
"You know Anthony that I have to do this, right?" I sigh, this was the hundredth time I was repeating this matter with him. "No, no you don't have to." He argues, pulling himself from my lap and coming face to face. His eyes study me, anger rushing in them as he exhales with his eyebrows furrowed.
I drop my phone and look at him, giving him my full attention. "Curls." The nickname I adore slips from my tongue when my eyes land on his curly hair. "Enzo isn't reckless. If he didn't kill him when he had the chance, there must be a reason he is doing it right now." I explain.
"Are you saying that killing someone is okay as long as you have a reason?" He questions. Disbelief and anger lacing his words.
I scan his face before my eyes go lower and fall on his neck."No?" I blurt, losing myself as I admire my man. The white tee shirt looks amazing on him and the brown shorts still scream summer even tho autumn has fallen on us. "Leo, eyes up here. You know they won't talk to you, right?" His voice rings in my head and I gulp before looking up. Yes, I was shamelessly checking out my boyfriend with my eyes pinned to his chest.
"I mean, we can make you talk for them, can't we?" I tease, a playful smirk creeping on my lips when I see him blush. "I touch them and you make a noise."
"You are crazy." He retorts before shaking his head in disapproval. A chuckle leaves my mouth as I watch him, my heart warming up from happiness. "You still love me." A playful remark leaves my mouth as my fingers trace the soft skin of his legs, my fingers faintly leaving a sensation of being touched. I feel a satisfaction run through me when I feel him slightly shudder under my touch.
"Don't even think to distract me." He smacks my hand away and I look at him with wide eyes, not expecting it at all. "Baby?" I question, my voice going high as I look at the man in front of me. "No, don't baby me." He scolds, folding his arms on his chest with a frown on his face. He looks adorable.
"We are going to talk on this topic." He orders and I sigh in defeat, giving up. Enzo will kill me if he finds out that someone other than me knows about it.
Man, I really have so many reasons for getting killed by Enzo.
"The man, he is a threat right now." I start, my eyes scanning his expression as he listens carefully. "A threat? To who?" His concerned voice makes me meet his eyes, my words getting lost in my mind as I find myself drowsing in his beautiful eyes. "Enzo hasn't told me much about it." I mutter, "probably wanting to keep the matter low." I add.
"But I have a feeling that he might be after," I gulp again as I find my throat drying up with fear. I mentally pray that what I'm about to say is only my doubt and nothing much. "Mateo." Anthony whispers, his voice barely making it to my ears as his go wide in realization. I nod, licking my lips before opening my mouth. "It's a guess and I am waiting to get my doubts cleared."
"Who is this guy? Why is he after Mateo? How does Enzo know about it? Is there any bodyguard to protect Mateo? Is he okay?" Anthony's questions never stop, coming one after one. "Anthony." I call out his name, holding his shoulder and forcing him to look at me. "He will be fine. Protected. Trust me, he is in good hands." I assure him, trusting Enzo that he would take care of the boy.
