Mateo Delacruz
"Please move this one to here." I point at the man who carries a big pot of tree.
I stand there at my cafe, yes my cafe. I can't believe my dream is finally coming true. It still feels so surreal to call this place mine. The place that holds a special place in my heart.
"The espresso machine is also here!" Anthony happily exclaims as he carries it to counter, placing it on one of the shelves near cashier.
He has been here, helping me out with the settings and arrangements for the cafe. My mother also drops by casually to see if I need any help.
The walls have been painted to a light grey color, the broken woods and other damaged furniture has also been renovated.
The place was falling into pieces, slowly but steadily.
I smile at him as he sets the machine, plugging its switch and doing the setup.
"Do you like it?" I ask, scanning the machine. "Love it." He cheers up and sets the cup under the machine.
"I can't wait for the opening!" He happily exclaims and watches the coffee drip out of the machine and fall into the small cup.
"Same." I sigh, relaxing for a moment. These past days, I have been too busy with the place and I feel every muscle of my body getting sore.
Only two days are left for the opening and I still haven't gotten the total numbers of the chairs and tables I had ordered which stresses me out. The company is telling that they will send the chairs today but it's already 6 pm.
I groan before grabbing the phone and dialing there number again. I have already paid more than half of the money and now they decide to not receive my call?
"These people." I hiss when they don't pick my call after trying so many times.
"What's wrong?" A smile forms on my lips just by hearing his voice. I turn around and see him standing at the door, Leo standing behind him.
Enzo and Leo are getting closer day by day, not throwing daggers at each other like they used to before. They still bicker a lot but it's not that bad. They laugh, they joke and that makes me extremely happy.
"Hi." I mumble, my cheeks immediately burning up as I walk over to my boyfriend.
My boyfriend.
Mine."Hi." His face lights up when he sees me walking towards him. "What is this?" I look at the plastic bags in his hand. He raises them slightly before shrugging.
"Food. I assumed you didn't have dinner yet so I brought some so we all can eat together." I adore him as he looks away, probably feeling shy. "Thank you." I mumble but before I can grab the bags from his hands, Anthony comes over grabbing them from Enzo's hands.
"God, thank you." Anthony grumbles, taking the boxes out of the bag and placing them on one of the tables. I look at him before looking at Enzo who has his eyes already set on me. "We didn't even had time to eat lunch." Anthony complains and Leo listens to him with heart in his eyes.
"Is your work finish?" I question, taking a step closer to him. He sucks a small breath when I trace his shoulder with my fingers, playing with the fabric of his navy blue blazer.
He looks absolutely fine.
"Yes." He mumbles, his eyes falling on my fingers. "I was eager to see you." He breathes out making my heart flutter. "Yeah?" I look up at him with a smirk, my eyes finding his caramel eyes. "Yes." He whispers.
