The duo finally found a place to rest for the night and oh were they relieved. They ended up waking up late and didn't get to hunt so no breakfast.
So continuing with their travels with small take here and there. That went on until their hunger got the best of them and hunted a grazing gazelle. Filling their empty stomach.
The two cleaned up the carcass and went on their way to find the water fall. They journeyed for hours on end with no waterfall coming into site.
Sitting down near the back of the river they rested gaining their energy back.

"Are they gonna walk all day! I'm getting hungry and I haven't eaten anything yet!" As you guessed the three shadows are still following them and one is very impatient.
"Quiet! Nobody cares if you hungry" the one with more sense said as they continue to watch the resting lions.
"But you know he's right? We've been watching them eat. What do we eat?" Another one groaned as the one with sense sighed annoyed at their antics.
"If you were gonna complain why did you come" he said which earned him a.
"Food duh"
The three saw the two lions beginning to walk again for they have rested enough. The other two followed after them while the other shadow groaned.
"And we're walking again"

This was boring. That was all Ayana could think of how boring this journey was. They've been doing the same thing since the start. Eat, walk, rest, walk, eat, walk, rest then sleep and then the cycle continues of course she'll get boring.
It's a good thing her scars are healing it makes this journey more bearable. Looking in front of her seeing hisani she wanders how he does it. I mean he's a rouge and from what she knows about them they usually travel until they find a or take over a pride/territory. Maybe one day she'll know but for now she'll just stay with her family that's if she gets home.
Hisani sighed he doesn't know how long he's gonna keep up the act of knowing where he's going. To tell the truth the poor lion is just trying to reassure the lost princess that she can get home but now he is stuck trying to bring her home which is his fault.
With using how long he's been alone he never really had company or anything close so if comes as a surprise to himself that he is helping a stranger on well.
A noise snap the two out of their individual thoughts as a bulky spotted hyena came out seemingly angry. Hisani got on guard as he went in front of ayana who was shocked.
More noises came out and two more hyenas walked out.
"Jenga Didn't I tell you to wait!"
"Wait! Wait! wait! I'm tried of waiting! I'm hungry!"
"You Fools!" Another hyena came out much larger than the other two and he was mad.
"Mosi I tried to warn him-"
"Shut up Kiango!" The hyena snapped at the other before turning to the two lions.
"No matter, Im still getting my meal" the hyena that was announced as mosi grinned widely while the other two laughed.
Ayana jumped as Jenga tried to attack her she used her claws and send him spiraling to the ground whimpering. Kiango ran at hisani but was send back immediately as he was clawed at and was send straight into jenga.
"Ugh fools!"
Mosi growled and ran at the two he saw Ayana was injured and ran full speed towards her but hisani intercepted him and showing his shiny claws send him straight to the ground.
Jenga got up with kiango and ran towards the two. Ayana jumped on Jenga clawing his side and bitting his neck while hisani sank his teeth into kiango and they body slammed them together.
Ayana spat some hyena hair outta her mouth as she stood beside hisani both facing mosi.
"I should have never carried you two"
Mosi ran at them again trying to get a hit in but hisani growled and head butted him unto his side. Jenga got up and saw the two were distracted by mosi and ran at hisani and jumped on his back sinking his own teeth into it.
Hisani let out a roar of pain as he trained to shake the hyena off. Ayana jumped and bite jenga's ear getting off hisani before throwing him into a tree panting heavily.
"You ok?" She asked
Hisani hissed in pain before nodding.
Mosi growled before turning and running away leaving them be. Kiango got and called out to him.
"Mosi wait for us!" He got up and started limping away.
"Jenga you idiot let go!" He said to the hyena by the tree.
"I can't get up!" He shouted back. Kiango looked at the two lions. Ayana was cleaning the bite mark on hisani's neck licking it carefully. He ran to his friend and got him up before limping away leaving the two lions.
"Ugh!" Hisani groaned.
"Stay still. I'm trying not to get it infected" Ayana said softly still licking the wound. A blush spread to hisani's face as he turned away.
"Ok done" she smiled.
"Let's get some rest yeah?" Hisani nodded.
"You ok?" He asked making the princess smile.
"Yeah. Lucky my previous injuries didn't open up so I'm fine you took all the hits" hisani sighed smiling in relief.
He walked towards the river and drank some water Ayana following. They then start to look for a cave to rest in.
Finding a small one hisani was about to do his usually of climbing a near by tree but Ayana didn't let him and pulled him into the den.
She sat down and curled into his side sighed comfortably at his heat.
Hisani blushed madly but couldn't bring himself to take her off she he just laid down and let her do what she wants.
The princess giggled at his face before smiling and falling asleep.
