I made our relationship official because I didn't want her to think she might lose me, and neither did I want to lose her. But Ivy's sudden intrusion was threatening to undo everything. I had planned a romantic trip to Amsterdam, where I was going to confess my feelings and propose to Anaya. Now, everything seemed to be spiraling out of control.
"You will never be over me," Ivy taunted, her voice laced with arrogance.
I turned to her, my voice cold and unwavering. "I love her, Ivy. I really do, and I was going to confess it this weekend. But your interruption has ruined everything."
"Oh, baby! Please stop playing games and get back together with me," she pleaded, trying to close the distance between us.
My patience snapped. "Why the fuck are you here?" I snarled, turning away from her. Wasting time on Ivy was the last thing I wanted to do. I had to get to Anaya and explain everything before it was too late. She was too precious to me, and I couldn't let her slip away.
I sprinted to my car, but as soon as I tried to start it, the engine refused to turn over. Frustrated, I stepped out to check the tires, only to find them all punctured. A low growl escaped my lips as I heard Ivy giggle, her laugh infuriatingly smug.
"You think you can stop me with this?" I shot back, smirking. "Puncturing my car won't keep me from getting my girl back. She's mine, and your little games won't work."
Determined, I broke into a full sprint. My basketball training paid off as I raced through the streets toward home. My heart pounded with a mix of fear and determination. When I reached Anaya's room, it was empty. Panic surged through me—she couldn't stay away from me, even if she wanted to.
I quickly pulled out my phone and checked her location. The necklace I had given her contained a tracking device—an extra precaution I had taken, knowing Ivy might try to create misunderstandings. Anaya was impulsive, and I needed to be prepared.
"The May Fair," I muttered to myself, recognizing the hotel's name.
I rushed back to the garage, grabbed another car, and drove straight to the hotel. My hands were shaking, not from exertion, but from the fear of facing her. If I didn't resolve this, my black cat girlfriend might never forgive me.
At the hotel, I wasted no time. I walked briskly to the reception desk. "I need to see Anaya Oberoi," I demanded.
"Sir, are you a guest here?" the receptionist asked politely, though her tone suggested she wouldn't budge easily.
"Look, I don't have time for this," I said, pulling out £1500 from my wallet. "Please accept this and let me in."
"Sir, that's against our policies," she replied, her tone firm.
I leaned closer, my voice cold and commanding. "Don't worry about that. That girl is mine, and I'm here to get her."
