Taking care of someone is incredibly demanding, especially when it's something I've never had to do in my 22 years of life. I recounted the incident to Mom, carefully omitting any sensitive details, but deep down, I couldn't shake the feeling of responsibility for Anaya's dehydration. It wasn't guilt, but rather a realization of how crucial staying hydrated is for health.
As the evening wore on, Anaya still hadn't woken up for dinner. Despite my initial lack of concern, I couldn't ignore the nagging thought of her potentially waking up hungry during the night. So, driven by a sense of basic compassion, I quietly prepared a plate of fresh fruits and placed a bottle of water within easy reach in her room. I wanted to ensure that if she did wake up, she wouldn't have to search far for something to eat or drink.

The next morning
Finally, the new term was starting tomorrow. I stepped out onto the balcony to bask in the morning sun. There's something about the spring season that feels incredibly refreshing. As I turned to take in the peaceful view, I noticed Anaya making peculiar faces in her sleep.
Curious, I quietly opened her balcony door and entered her room.
"ARGH NOAH please" she yelled
"PLEASE" she yelled again
"It hurts" she moaned this time
I understood what was happening and couldn't help but smirk. I took the opportunity to mess around more.
"What hurts kitten?" I ask her in a calm whispering tone
"stop pinching me" she yells
She woke up in horror and noticed me sitting there.
"Good morning miss sex dreams," I smirked saying that
"what sex dream?" she asked being nonchalant
"I heard you kitten, you were yelling my name all this time," I said grinning.
She kicked her blanket aside and hurried to the bathroom. I couldn't help but laugh, but then my eyes fell on the sheets, noticing they were stained with blood. Had she gotten her period?
Seeing the stains on the sheets, I decided to refrain from teasing or irritating her further. I quietly left the room to give her some privacy. Understanding that she was going through her monthly cycle, I felt it was best to give her space and respect her privacy during this time.
I put on my T-shirt and went downstairs to join my family for breakfast. Anaya was already there, her uncomfortable movements and frequent touching of her stomach catching my attention.
"Anaya, darling, are you feeling better now?" Mom asked.
"I'm feeling better, Lily. Thank you for the fruits," Anaya replied.
