33: Parasite.

   "B a s i l?"

   I yelp, looking up at the person who called out my name.

   Neferus.

   "You good?" She looks genuinely worried for me.

   Bullshit.

   I glance back down at myself.

   My stomach is the same, and the maggots are gone.

   It's like it never happened.

   But I still have white fabric around my neck and left hand.

   So it did happen...?

   "Helllooo?" She waves a hand in front of my face.

   I slap it away, "Stop pretending like you care." A stern tone come out of my lips.

   "I do care though. You're wrapped up with even more bandages..." Neferus frowns, and I scoff.

   "I don't need 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 sympathy."

   "... I get that you hate me, but I'm not like that anymore."

*SNAP*

   "LIAR! FUCKING LIAR!!!" It just all spills out of my mouth.

   "..." Her eyes widen, "... I'm sorry I hurt you."

   I can't seem to control or contain the laughter that builds up in me.

   "Hehe... you really think a simple sorry will make me forgive you?"

   She goes silent to that.

   I stand up quickly, wrapping my own hands around her neck, and pushing her to the ground.

   Pressing down on her skin, I can hear her struggle to breathe.

   "p...please... b-b..."

   "DIE!!! DIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIE!!!!!" I jab my fingers into her neck, making her choke and gag.

   (Uhm)

   She fights underneath me, but she's getting weaker as the seconds pass.

   "i... lov..."

   Her eyes slowly lose light as her hands flop down.

   I start to cackle uncontrollably, as I push down harder.

   Just when I think I killed her-

   "STOP!!!"

   I feel pressure against my body that throws me off Neferus.

   All I can hear is screaming, and her wheezing and gasping.

   Two people hold me down, as more come into the room.

   "NO!!!" LET GO!!!" Crying out, I try to squirm my way out, but more nurses grab my legs.

   Suddenly- a feel a needle go into my arm.

   And everything goes black.
