Spencer did come back home to his family. With the new ramps and other renovations made to the house it was almost an effortless move back in. He also was agreeable to the rehab's occupational therapist coming in once a week to continue working with him and to everyone's shock he wanted to continue meeting with the therapist Reverend Lynn occasionally. He was also in discussion with the college to come back to work next semester on a part time basis to start. The dean seemed delighted with that decision. She said the students actually missed him.
Luci was going to start twice a week therapy sessions of her own at the UUC church with the pastor especially since she had started having nightmares about both Harvey and the almost killer. She and Sol were even closer than ever and making plans for what they called " the best sixth grade ever" at Rosemont Middle School in the upcoming fall when school started. Because it was considered evidence Luci didn't get her secret knife back but she didn't really want it back. As she had told Sol she didn't think she needed it anymore.
The would be killer was treated at the hospital for a minor stab wound to the back which was ruled self defense as far as Luci's own actions. He was released into the custody of Prince George's County deputy sheriffs. And before they even got him to the station house he was demanding a deal if he spilled everything on Doris who had paid him three hundred thousand dollars to kill her son in law. Doris was eventually arrested at her Virginia estate but released on bail to await trial for her part in the crime. She was represented by a lawyer at a firm that was the direct rival to her son Richard's.
Richard's divorce went through with no issues and he celebrated it with a dinner at his new condo with Spencer and DuBuis. And Nigel as well. And yes Richard was still denying he was gay to his brother.
Faith finally came out to her family and also asked Pamela Perkins to move into her spartan apartment with her. Pamela said yes.
Andrew began to email, call and text Spencer on a regular basis as did his wife Glory. They were indeed coming to Thanksgiving at the Norland - Lane house and Glory was even going to make her prized sweet potato pie for it. To Andrew's shock and appreciation he also received a call from Richard.
There was still no movement on the shooting investigation that had left Spencer paralyzed until the police found one of the robbers shot to death in an alley two blocks from Project W. After the discovery DuBuis received a text message from his Uncle Panther saying simply " Nobody messes with family". As for the store Miss Mabel actually sold it and moved to Florida where she and Nessa made plans to get part time jobs at Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Faith and DuBuis were ecstatic about that because well , hey , free tickets!
DuBuis finally did tell Spencer about Joe's efforts to win him back for whatever reasons and Spencer did something that shocked both himself and DuBuis. He texted Joe Jacobs the following message: " Stay away from my man or I will run you over with my chair Slow Ass 2 ".
