OLIVIA WAS SHAKEN awake by Minho, who was already dressed and ready to run. She groaned as she sat up in her hammock. "Go get Thomas, I'll get everything else." Minho instructed her. She hummed as she rubbed her eyes and stood up, making her way towards the pit.She cracked her knuckles and neck as she walked. Once she was stood in front of the door, she looked down and saw Thomas sleeping uncomfortably, using his arm as a pillow.
Instead of startling him awake, she slowly opened the door to avoid making a lot of noise and carefully jumped down. She knelt and placed a hand on his shoulder, rubbing her thumb against the fabric of his blue shirt. "Thomas." She whispered. His eyes scrunched before they slowly blinked open and found hers. "Hey, it's time to go." She smiled at him as he began to sit up. He cleared his throat and shook the arm that he was sleeping on. It had fallen asleep during the night. He rolled and rubbed his neck before nodding.
She stood up and looked over at the maze, Minho then walked over and crouched down, offering a hand to Olivia to pull her up. "Big day, Greenie. You sure you don't wanna sit this one out?" Minho chuckled at the boy. "Come on, man. Get me out of here." Thomas tried not to smile. Both Minho and Olivia held their hands out to the boy who was now standing, pulling him up.
By the time Olivia and Thomas had gotten ready, it was around the time that the doors opened. They walked over and stood infront of them. Olivia looked over to the two boys that were on her left, Minho smiled at her while Thomas kept his eyes towards the maze. Minho then began to run. "Let's go!"
Thomas looked at the girl, who was already looking at him. She smiled and raised her eyebrows before running after Minho, Thomas not far behind. Olivia was fast, but not as fast as the boys. She could keep up, but if it was a race, she wouldn't be able to win.
Thomas subconsciously remained behind her to give her that extra sense of safety. They both followed Minho around the corners, they knew that he knew where he was going. They continued to run, maintaining the same pace. Olivia's cut had basically healed, it was now just a scab that could possibly begin to bleed again if it was picked at.
The maze began to open up and become wider. Olivia looked around while still running, she hadn't been this far in before. Minho slowed down in front of a tall cement wall with a washed away 6 painted on it, signalling this was section six.
The trio stood in a row, controlling their breathing. They looked up and around, taking it all in. After a few seconds, they began to run again. They eventually ended up at the opening of section seven. "That's strange." Minho thought out loud, making Thomas and Olivia turn their heads to him. "What?"
"Seven's not supposed to be open for another week." He informed as he began to walk. Olivia scrunched her eyebrows together and looked at the big 7 on the wall before walking and catching up with the two boys.
