"Ah shit!" I hissed, breathing in deeply as I looking
"Sorry, I'm sorry, I'm almost done." Angel spoke as she pulled her lips into her mouth focusing on my bandages. I was glad to finally be out of the hospital and home, although I'd be out of work for a couple more days having her here along with Chey made shit a lot easier on me.
I guess I was starting to space out because I soon felt Angel tapping my arm gently with the back of her gloved hand.
"Hey," Angel called for me pulling me back into reality. "you okay?"
"I'm good, just tryna get back to one hunnid percent health so I can go back to work, these bills don't stop." I chuckled as she took off the gloves tossing them into the trash.
"You have sick time left baby, you're getting paid for it, don't be in such a hurry. You need to heal, I'll be right back." She said softly, pulling my shirt down gently before pecking my lips before gathering the trash she just tossed away. She made her way out of the bedroom, I could hear her footsteps leading downstairs, I sighed and grabbed my phone unlocking it with my passcode.
Scrolling down to Mateo's contact. I wanted to hit him up, but decided against it. I was still a little irritated that he hadn't hit me up to see how I was, nor did he come by.
Shit was really fuckin' with me, I wanted to know why he didn't come around...

Omniscient, hours later.Sitting on Mateo's couch, Cheyenne sat with her legs crossed, a pillow resting in her lap. She had so much on her mind and needed to get it off her chest, but the last thing she wanted to do was argue. She was a little irritated with Mateo and just wanted to let him know how she felt.
"Mateo," She called for him. "can we talk for a minute? It's about Eli." She spoke as he placed a cup of pink lemonade beside her plate of grilled chicken pizza as he sat beside her on the couch.
"Okay, Wassup mama?" He questioned.
Cheyenne bit her lip, hoping that she could find the right words quickly, she sighed and adjusted herself on the couch. "I just... I don't understand why you didn't come to visit him after he was shot. He kept asking about you and I didn't know what to say."
Mateo sighed before wiping his mouth with a napkin, he pulled his bottom lip between his teeth. "I know, mama. and trust me I felt terrible about it, shit I still do.. I wanted to be there, but I just couldn't." He admitted.
Cheyenne placed her cup onto the coffee table, the movie Bad Boys played lowly from the flat screen tv mounted onto Mateo's living room wall. "But why though? You two are so close, he needed you there and you just didn't come around.. I feel like he's hurt about it babe, Angel and I stayed through it all, and for you to not be there really affected him I think."
