The moving

1985 July 5 Derry,Maine

It was the day.The day when Richie and his mom are leaving Derry behind.Karen arrived 2 days ago.She came to help them pack.

Richie was still numb.Not just because of the moving.Because of what happened 2 days ago.

He still felt the taste of the shorter boy's lips.He had cried so much on that day.His heart was broken.He taught it'll be always broken.He did had chrushes on other boys,but those feeling weren't that strong.He thought that Eddie doesn't want to see him ever again.

Only if he knew.Eddie was scared.He cared too much about what others think.He was already stood out of the line.He didn't wanted to be more different.He didn't wanted to people call him slurs.So he stayed in the comfortable and safe closet.

They haven't exchanged any words with each other.Until the moving.

The losers were all at Richie's.They helped with the boxes and pack those thing that needed to be packed.

Richie tired to look happy for his friends.But you can't fool the people who know you the most.

Even though Richie smiled,made stupid jokes and laughed he still looked sad.And his friends weren't idiots,they knew that something was up other than the moving.The only one who knew what was wrong with Richie was Stan.He knew what happened at the lake.He knew how Eddie reacted.And he felt bad and blamed himself a bit.

Ben and Mike helped Richie's mom carry the boxes outside.Bev chatted with Karen, Richie's aunt.Karen seemed to like her.

Bill and Stan packed the charity box.Bill could not help but look at the curly haired boy.He knew that he likes him.But was to scared to confess even though Mike encouraged him to do it.But god he was so awkward around Stan it was physically painful to watch.Unlike Bill,Bill looked at the door of Richie's bedroom.He was sad,disappointed and angry.Angry because Eddie did not showed up.Bill noticed that boy was zoned out and grasped his shoulder.Stan turned to Bill

-A-are y-you ok?-Bill questioned.Stan thought about an excuse.
-Yeah.Just it'll be weird without him-Stan said and he was honest.He'll miss him so much.
-Yes,that's true.But he's not dying we can call him every time we want-Bill said his hand was on top of Stan's.Both boys was blushing.
-Yeah,we will harass him on the phone-Stan joked.Bill started laughing,Stan as well.

After they stopped laughing they realized how close their faces were.Just inches apart.They started to lean in.They lips was almost touching.

But then the door shut open and revealed Karen Wheeler.

-Boys are you ready?-the blonde haired woman asked.She had no idea about what she interrupted.The boys were embarrassed.Bill finally spoke up.
-Yes,w-we are r-ready-He answered
-Okay,tell Richie it's time to say goodbye-She said.
-Okay-Stan replied.With that Karen walked out.And left two embarrassed boy behind.

-W-well I'll g-go and g-get Richie-Bill said.His face was like a tomato.
-Okay-Stan said and then got an idea.
-Yeah,that's a good idea-Stan said.He was so embarrassed he was about to kiss his best friend
-U-uhm I-I'll g-get h-him.-Bill said and stood up.
He knocked on Richie's door
-Richie-He called his friend
-Yeah-Richie replied
-I-it's t-time-Bill said
-Coming just give me a minute-Richie answered
-Fine.W-we w-will be o-outside-Bill said.
Richie didn't said anything.

Everyone was outside.Including Eddie.He wanted to say goodbye.He needed to.He had to.

Richie finally came outside.His mom and aunt in the car waiting for him to say goodbye to his friends.To his old life.

When he saw Eddie he noticed that he was looking at him.They looked away.

The first one who Richie said goodbye to was Bev.They were like each other's annoying sibling.
-Bye Trash mouth.I will miss you-the girl said in between sobs
-I'll miss you too Marsh-Richie said as he hugged her.

The next one was Ben.Ben wrapped his arms around Richie and Richie hugged him back
-I am so glad that we meet before I died-Ben said referring to the day they meet.On that day they didn't expected that they are gonna get a new friend.Shortly they pulled apart
-Bye Benny-Richie said

The next was Mike.Mike was already crying.
-Oh,Mikey don't worry we'll see eachother I'm not dying-Richie joked.Him and Mike were actually were close.Mike hugged him.They stayed like that for a moment and then pulled away
-Goodbye-Mike said.Richie smiled at him.

It was Bill's turn
It was different with Bill.They've knew each other since they were kids
-Don't forget abou us,okay-Bill said a teardrop rolled down his cheek
-How could I-Richie said.He pulled Bill into a hug.
-Please cut the shit off and kiss him already.-Richie whispered into his ears.Richie knew that Stan has a crush on him and Bill is not that oblivious as he thought he is.It was not hard to piece it all together.Bill was taken aback.Richie just smirked and turned to his best friend Stan

Stan was quick to wrap his arms around the raven haired boy.He was crying.
-Call and write as much as you can!Can you hear me?-Stan said his voice filled with sadness.
-I promise-Richie said as he rubbed Stan's back.
-I will miss you so much-Stan said.He was crying so hard.
-I will miss you too-Richie said as he tried to hold back his tears.He hated goodbyes.They've always meant that something was over.Whatever if it was good or bad.It ended.You can't change anything. You can't undo things that you've regretted.You can't do things better.You can't do anything to stop it.Every begging has an ending.

He unwrapped his arms around the boy and turned to him.To Eddie.
