General Trish POV
"General! Sir!" I bolted upright from my computer as my secretary dashed into my office. "Yes? What is it?" "A human refugee settlement has been found in the King County area! But the FIA is attacking it as we speak!" I grabbed my handheld radio off the desk so fast that it sent a few papers onto the floor. "Attention all units! We have a human refugee settlement under fire from FIA forces! All infantry, reserve, air, ground, and unit in the area! Code Broken Arrow! All forces that are not already handling a task to report to the hangar and prepare for deployment! This is NOT a drill!"
Tammy POV
The airfield was a mess of tanks, armored transports, soldiers, and aircraft all being loaded with soldiers and ammunition. A small convoy of armored trucks narrowly missed an AC-130 taxiing for takeoff, a chinook and gunship chopper narrowly avoided a collision, a fighter jet took off just barely missing an MRAP. We quickly dashed across the asphalt, occasionally ducking or dodging ground vehicles. "I honestly find it difficult to believe that those pieces of dipshit were plotting behind our back this entire time!" Adley yelled over to Tammy, quickly jumping to avoid a fuel line. "I know!" They quickly jumped into the chinook, quickly slamming the door as it rapidly accelerated up and out of UF airspace.
"I honestly feel bad for the human, Jonathan, here he is, flying in his chopper from who-knows-where, we blast them outta the sky for no apparent reason, we kill all his friends, take him prisoner, beat him up some more, spring him with a partnership agreement, and then learns that our ahem 'former' internal affairs have been plotting against us the whole time! No wonder he was so quick to believe we knew about it the entire time." I could only nod my head in agreement, so much had happened in little less than the span of a month, he'd nearly been killed a number of times, all his friends were now dead, then he begrudgingly accepted to work with us, only to find out some more of our kind had been torturing his like all along.
He'd been robbed of so much, his childhood, his family, his friends, possibly his chance at a future due that the transport had been found wrecked and abandoned, 'The chance for something...more.' I shook my head, quickly shaking off the lewd thoughts I had suddenly envisioned myself in. A steamy image of myself laying on my cot as Jonathan- 'THE FUCK? GET OUT OF MY HEAD RIGHT NOW!' I internally slapped myself for even thinking of such absurd and outrageous thoughts. 'STOP BEING A FUCKING PERVERT RICHERDSON!' Sure I'd seen the human naked by accident, and perhaps he wasn't the...worst thing I'd ever seen, but-No! 'I will NOT think such perverted thoughts!'
"Yo! Tammy!" I suddenly looked up to see Todd looking at me from across the bird, his tac-pad tightly gripped in his hands. "Y-yeah? What is it?" I quickly brushed aside the internal conversations and...daydreams I just had. "New intel just came in! Our human counterpart was apparently 'rescued' by the same human settlement that we're going to help right now! General says to bring him back alive!" I saw the other's heads turn, some with surprise. "R-right, got it." I turned away again, staring at the floor.
'Honestly! Do you really expect that to happen? He's a human! The exact thing that the FIA has been abusing and torturing! He's probably terrified of you!'
'W-well yeah but, I-I'm not FIA-'
'You're an anthro, that's reason enough for him to be terrified!'
'I-I know...b-but maybe, j-just maybe he'll uhh...'
'You're so fucking desperate for a bit of love, damn.'
I internally growled, as I was losing this battle with my own conscious!
'I am not some hormonal teen!'
