??? POV

This job sucks, all I do is sit at this desk doing the same job as the dozens around me; Sitting and listening to radio static from miles around. If we hear anything interesting, we write it down, fill out a form, and send it to the Board. Half the time it's just random interference or our own guys. I've been sitting at this damn desk for so long that my coffee mug had long gone empty. Just as I was about to get up, I heard a bit of static, and what sounded like voices. Adjusting my headphones and sitting up, I fine-tuned the frequency and started the recorder separately.

Listening intently, I heard voices come into hearing amidst the static; "...2? Box-3? Do you read? Over." That was odd. I double-checked the paper and didn't see anything about 'Box' or 'Box Team' or anything showing this was one of ours. 'Damn idiots should've given me a mic' I thought scanning my desk for a microphone, or anything I could use the communicate with...whoever these guys were. "Baseplate this is Box-1, we...to have lost our counterparts Box-2 and... how copy o...r?" From all the interference and cutting out, I could tell that whoever these guys were, were clearly very far away from us. "This is Bo...-1, switching to MAD Fre...ncy, over." I quickly reached over and transferred my channel to the same frequency, 243.0 MHz.

"Mayday, mayday, mayday, one, two, this is Bravo, Oscar, Xylophone dash one, we are declaring an emergency, repeat, Code Red, we have lost our counterparts and are requesting friendly assistance, over." I could hear the anxiousness in the voice of the pilot. I had no idea if this was simply a transport helicopter, or a full-blown attack squadron. I listened further but didn't hear any more transmissions. I stopped the recorder and took out the chip. "Give this to the supervisor." I simply told to the worker, and he ran off. I then turned back to the radio. 'Now to continue my boring job.' I thought to myself as the white noise filled my ears once again.

UF BO – General Christopher POV

Finishing the recording, I turned to the team. "As you can see, an unknown source transmitted these few sentences. As they weren't transmitted to us specifically, this gives us reason to believe this was done by accident. No less, treat this as a high-level threat. Hawk-1 and 2 drones confirmed visual on their aircraft less than half an hour ago. It appears to be an older model UH-1 transport helicopter. They are expected to enter the range of our SAM sites in a little more than an hour. Your job is to capture them before then, kill only if necessary. Volb-23 and 24 are enroute to intercept them now. Get your gear and prepare for departure. You're all flying in H-128, copy?" The six anthros in the room stood and saluted, "Roger!" they all shouted before jogging into the next room over.

Tammy POV

"I wonder why there's a human helicopter coming over here?" I heard Todd ask, "Because they realized they aren't worthy of living and want us to shoot them out of the sky, obviously." I heard Ash sarcastically remark. I frowned "Hey now, not all humans are bad. Just because you had one unpleasant experience with a few doesn't automatically make them all ba-" "Oh shut it Tammy, honestly, I'm the only one with brains here, you're lucky I'm the squad leader and not one of you human lovers." she snidely interrupted. "Can you guys stop bickering like children and focus on the task at hand?" asked Marcus. "Honestly, it's like being back at boot camp having to listen to you girls gossiping over who the hottest was, still as annoying." Ash was about to snap at Marcus, but just then we heard our radios chirp. "Echo Delta Team, you are green to go, proceed to Helipad zero-eight-niner, over!"

I grabbed my modified M4 carbine and followed Ash out. "So, Tammy, how do you think the humans are going to react when we tell 'em to surrender or die basically?" I hear Adley ask from behind me, I thought for a moment. Currently, humans are terrified of us. Fed propaganda about how we would 'Eat them alive' and other bullshit. I turned my head back towards Adley, "I'm pretty sure they're gonna be terrified." I say in a monotone voice to her. She shrugged and stood behind me as the door opened. We walked out to see the chopper on the helipad.
