Jonathan POV

Sitting in the briefing room, I could see the layout of the FIA's brass, the cream of their command, and how we would take them apart. "And after ground units have converged around the general facility, Echo Delta and Charlie Delta teams will converge inside and eliminate all hostile personnel. Key members of the FIA have been requested to be taken alive, for questioning purposes. Let's move out!"

I snatched up my rifle and jogged out the door. Other soldiers were running about, carrying rifles and ammunitions. Reaching the outside helipads, attack choppers and gunships were already lifting off the tarmac, accelerating into the sky, and I sprinted after Ash into the chopper, and it lifted off the moment the last man, Marcus, was on board.

"This is it fellas, the final showdown." I checked my rifle over, to ensure no hiccups. "Can't believe this could finally be the end of the FIA." "Good riddance I say, their bullshit has been going on long enough." Looking out the window, I could see tanks and armored transports rumbling along the worn, dirt roads. Suddenly, a rocket whooshed past the chopper, narrowly missing it.

"Echo Delta Team! You'll be deploying with Charlie Delta Team in ten! Move quickly!" The chopper shuddered as it touched down, and I leapt forward and out of the chopper. I could see Charlie Delta, or rather their tag pings on the goggle lenses, and we pushed forward. Bullets pinged overhead, shouting and yelling from both friends and foes were echoing around us, and flaming vehicles and debris fell around me.

I crouched at a door, throwing a grenade in with a resounding BANG! There was a momentary scream of terror, that was quickly ended by a burst of fire from Todd. "Pushing in!" I shouted, before peeking inside. Alarms were blaring, lights were flashing, and many spent bullet casings and magazines littered the floor, along with blood and bodies, all were FIA. "Command says the main objective should be directly down this hall and to the right!" I heard Ash advising the others. "Copy that!" "Covering!"

Following behind Marcus, I held my rifle taut, not letting it sway, and soon a singular FIA guard rounded the corner, screaming bloody murder and waving a machete in the air. "I'LL KILL YOU A-" I quickly put one in his head, ending his one-man charge before it even began. "Nice." "Contact!" I aimed up, seeing another guard, this time armed with a rifle. "DROP IT!" "NEVER!"

A volley of fire erupted, and I quickly pressed myself against the wall, narrowly avoiding the onslaught. The moment he stopped, I quickly took aim, turning his skull into a bloody cavity. His lifeless body slumped to the floor, and I looked back to see Todd on the floor, his arm shredded and blood pooling on the floor. "Todd!" "He's hit!" "This is Charlie Delta, requesting medevac to Hallway 13-B..." Their voices drained away, and I felt something bubbling up inside me. Rage.

"RAHH!" I ripped a tomahawk out of the wall and yanked out my bayonet. As another soldier tried to run out of the target's room, I threw the tomahawk full force, and it embedded itself in her gut, causing her to scream. I sprinted forward, slashing my bayonet into her neck, causing her jugular to rupture, and I was immediately drenched in blood. Lifting the knife to my tongue, I licked it clean. Both sides. I ripped my tomahawk out of her gut, not even blinking as her organs sloshed out.

I dove into the room, spotting two more soldiers and the target, who was wearing a lab coat and was attempting to do get some kind of door open. I dodged under the extended fist of the first guard, slicing off his arm at the elbow and causing blood to spray out. While he screamed, I used the momentum from my swing and let the tomahawk lodge into the ballsack of the second one, causing him to scream in agony.

I sent the bayonet hurling into the forehead of the first one, ending his misery, and I ripped the tomahawk out of the groin of the second guard, and I flipped out my sidearm, sending one into his skull. Now that the guards were dealt with, I faced the target, who was a feline, with part of her head looking more like a robot. "Hello android." "I'm not an android, rather a professionalized living being." "I don't recall giving a fuck, mostly cause I've run out of fucks to give."

I sprinted forward, bringing the tomahawk down, only for her to stop it with her arm, which spurted oil. "Hmph." I quickly brought my foot up, booting her in the chest, and she fell backwards. I dove forward, pushing my bayonet down as hard as I could. She smirked, before grabbing me by the neck, simply flicking my bayonet away. The adrenaline quickly faded away, replaced by fear, as she began to squeeze, choking off my air supply.

I coughed and sputtered, desperately trying to get an ounce of oxygen into my lungs, and she smiled evilly. "Too bad I never did get to find out, D...who cares what your designation was. I still get the last laugh~" My eyes widened as I realized who this was. "Y-Y-You..." "Ah, forgot who your master was did we? Well, consider this your punishment-" "DROP HIM!" I weakly looked over to the door, and saw Tammy standing in the light, her powerful frame silhouetted in the bright light from the hall in contrast to this dim room.

"Very well then." I suddenly heard a knife unsheathing, and a dark chuckle. "NO!" I suddenly felt a deep pain in my stomach, and I looked down to see a machete, embedded deep into my chest, blood already flowing from the blade. There was a burst of gunfire, and suddenly I was dropped, my head hitting the floor rather hard.

I weakly looked up, seeing the unmoving, unbreathing face of the feline that had once violated me, taken my dignity, and nearly killed me, now laying on the dirty floor. I could feel blood pooling in my mouth, and I trembled, the foreign object in my body sending my body into a convulsing, seizure-like state. "Jonathan!" My vision tunneled as I could see the faint outline of Tammy rushing over, kneeling at my side. "CALL FOR MEDEVAC AND DO IT NOW! D-Don't worry Jonathan y-you're gonna be f-fine."

Shouts and thundering footsteps began to echo, certain objects and people fading in and out of focus. I coughed, feeling the warm taste of blood in my mouth. I smiled weakly. "N-Not this time..." I coughed violently, blood splashing down my front, and I looked up. "I...love...youuuuu..." I felt my eyes shut, and the pain, the shouts, the cries, the shaking, it all faded away into a humming numbness, as I felt myself fall into a pitch-black abyss.
