Jonathan POV

"Urgh, augh, my head..." I groaned as I lifted my head, and looking around I could see that I was on some sort of log dam, and I was mere inches from going off the other end! I felt the adrenaline rushing through my body as I managed to push myself away from the edge, and quickly made my way towards the shoreline. I stumbled ashore, and collapsed on all fours, before falling onto my side. I quickly reached up and felt my tactical light, magazines, supplies...check, check, check, phew! All my stuff is here. I sighed in relief and laid back down. Feeling the adrenaline start to wear off, I felt the pain from my leg and shoulder come back. My shoulder has merely sustained a flesh wound, and my leg was definitely dislocated, given the current angle it was in. I was exhausted and tired. I didn't even have the strength nor energy to look up as running footsteps running up towards me as my vision slowly faded, the last thing I saw was two pairs of boots on the sand in front of me before I passed out.

Tammy POV

The human had woken up as we were lifting him inside the helicopter. He had looked down at Marcus, then up at me, and simply sighed. Looking at the human stare at the floor with such a blank look couldn't help but make me feel bad. Had we done this extent of damage to all of humanity? I saw the human mouth something, though I couldn't hear him. "What'd you say human?" I kindly asked the human, to which he looked at me with a cold, empty stare. "..." I could just barely hear words now. "SPEAK UP DIPSHIT WE CAN'T HEAR YOU!" Ash simply shouted at the human. "Ash! What the hell?!" I socked her in the arm. "What? You wanna hear what he has to say, no?" I facepalmed.

"Yeah, but I don't wanna scare him to death while doing so!" Ash shrugged and went back to her tac-pad. "What're you all gonna do to me." I heard the human ask, no emotion in his voice, not fear, not curiosity, not anger, simply monotone, like a robot. "W-what?" I didn't understand what he meant. "Why give me medical attention...why not just shoot me?" It clicked in my head; He was asking why we didn't execute him! You idiot! I internally slapped myself. "W-well you see human-" "Because our General wants you alive dumbass, as much as I'd love to see your body in a ditch, I'm unfortunately not allowed to shoot you...yet." Ash interrupted, the human simply sighed. I couldn't help but feel pity for him.

Jonathan POV

It doesn't make any sense, none whatsoever. Why shoot all my friends then take me prisoner? It didn't make sense, but at least my calm, cool demeanor wasn't showing them I was feeling brave enough to do something stupid. I wouldn't give them any satisfaction of knowing that I was terrified. They weren't interpreting me as a threat, not yet anyhow. I was glad I had managed to slip my switchblade down into my pants, so I still had that if things went south. There wasn't much else to do at this point, so I simply got comfortable and drifted off to sleep.

Jonathan POV

WHACK! I felt myself slam into the cold, metal floor. I groaned and looked up to see the purple fox glaring at me from above. "Wake the fuck up no-fur, time to go." She flipped me over and pressed my face onto the floor. I could feel two metallic bracelets being placed on both my wrists with two clicks, before being hoisted up and dragged out of the helicopter. I grunted in pain as my still-sensitive though relocated leg bumped over a rock. I could see a mud road and several more military vehicles around, and even a tank. There were many more anthromorphic animals; Wolves, snakes, cats, dogs, even what appeared to be some sort of zebra. Most of them looked at me as if I were something purely disgusting they had just located on the underside of their boot, and I didn't really blame them. I was covered in dirt and blood, a wolf standing by a tent pointed a finger gun at me and mimicked pulling the trigger.
