And in one reckless moment...the lives of the Cooper women were forever changed. They were a mother wanting to protect her son, and a daughter wanting to protect her mother, while less than 50 yards away... ••• "So, Archie, do you regret anything we talked about at my confirmation?" I ask him as we walk under the umbrella together.
"No. All good on my end." Archie tells me and I smile at him.
"In that case, just to put it on your radar, a low-key turf-war might be brewing between the Joneses and the Lodges." I tell him. ••• "Veronica, are you trying to manage me right now?" Jughead asks her as me, Veronica, Betty, Archie and Jughead all sit inside the student lounge.
"Define manage." Veronica tells him.
"People are gonna lose their homes." Jughead tells her and I hum in agreement with him.
"Jughead, why don't you come over with your dad and sit down with our dad, and hash this out like civilized humans, face-to-face?" Veronica asks him.
"Okay, two conditions. Your dad comes to Sunnyside Trailer Park. And Quinn has to be there. I want him to see the people that he's gonna be displacing." Jughead tells her.
"Fine. And trust me, no one is being displaced." Veronica tells her.
"Wait what? Don't I get a say if I get to come or not?" I ask my sister.
"Nope." Veronica tells me and I sigh defeatedly.
"Oh my god, did you guys hear? My dad's scanner's blowing up. The police found another dead body this morning, there's blood everywhere." Kevin tells us as he walks in.
"Could the Black Hood risen from the grave?" Jughead asks.
"Did they say whose body?" Archie asks Kevin.
"Where did they find it?" Betty asks Kevin.
"The investigation ongoing but apparently, it was a gruesome, gangland-style execution at the motel, with blood and brains splattered all over the duvet--" Kevin tells us before Archie interrupts him.
"Okay, Kev, we get it." Archie tells him.
"I gotta go." Betty tells us and then stands up and walks out. ••• "A bullet to the head? That is clearly a mafioso's doing. When I finally feel like I'm good place, some terrible thing happens, somebody dies...and I'm immediately back to the what if my father's behind this? place. And making matters worse, I've now dragged you into this mess." I tell Archie as I pace inside an empty classroom.
"Quinn, I chose to be with you, remember? To help you." Archie tells me as he grabs my hand stopping me from pacing any further.
"Archie, I can't handle not knowing." I tell him.
"Then choose to believe in your dad. His business dealings might be shady but at heart, he's still a good guy. I know that. You know that." Archie tells me.
