You know how there are just some towns where bad things always seem to happen? Well, Riverdale has become one of those towns. The most recent horror? The school janitor turned out to be a serial killer. But, we were putting him away along with our Christmas decorations. Now we were back to your typical small town intrigues, clandestine meetings behind closed doors and the like. Yes, by and large, it was business as usual in Riverdale. ••• "Veroncia, Quinn, do you have a minute?" Hermonie asks as she and Hiram join the twins in Veronica's bedroom.
"Just checking in. See how you're feeling about things." Hiram says.
"Ah. Checking in to make sure we're still on board with the quote unquote plan?" Veronica asks.
"I can't believe the one time I'm out I miss something big like this. But I'm still in. Like I've said before I just want to be kept updated." Quinn says.
"Don't worry, I am." Veroncia tells her parents.
"You're gonna be at ground-zero, Veroncia." Hermonie tells her.
"Yeah, in the eye of the potential hurricane." Hiram says.
"That's what you said when I wanted to go shopping in SoHo durning Occupy Wall Street, and I was fine." Veroncia says.
"Or when I wanted to clubbing and shopping, durning the Met Gala week, and I was fine." Quinn says.
"Dad. Mom. Trust me. I'll keep my classmates from revolting when the news breaks. And they'll be none the wiser." Veroncia tells them.
"And I'll be staying out of her way." Quinn says. ••• "Qu..." Archie says as he jogs up to her in school.
"Hey." Quinn says.
"Hey. Did you tell anyone about my dad's hospital bill?" Archie asks.
"Did I? I may have mentioned it to my mom and dad in passing." Quinn tells him.
"Qu..." Archie says.
"They wanted to help. And they have the means. What, is your dad upset? Are you?" Quinn says.
"Upset? Qu...I'm crazy about you." Archie says and then kisses her as she walks into the student lounge as they keep kissing before pulling away.
"Students of Riverdale High, this is your principal speaking. E-mails have been sent to your parents, but effectively immediately, Southside High School is shut down. And its students will be transferred to other schools in the district, including this one. I believe the statement we're releasing...will address your concerns and theirs. You should be receiving it shortly. I'm sure you have many questions. But it goes without saying, we are welcoming these students with open minds, hearts and arms. Thank you. That is all." Weatherbee announces into the intercom.
