On the eve of the Mayoral Debate, as Archie Andrews goes door-to-door, he doesn't mention the murder of his classmate, Midge Klump. Most people believed Midge was murdered by someone else, but not Archie. He was certain, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the Black Hood was back, as was his next-door neighbor, Betty Cooper. Who had, in fact laid eyes on the Black Hood and suspected he was much closer. ••• "You can't see my bruises anymore." Archie tells me as he sits at my vanity as I cover his bruises with my makeup.
"Yes, no reason to mention Nick's failed attempt to kidnap and murder you. There is one thing I wanted to tell you." I tell Archie as I put my sponge down as I finished up with Archie's bruises.
"What's that?" Archie asks.
"Word of my exploits serving Nick his comeuppance has seemed into the demimonde of mobsters and molls my father used to associate with, so the five families are sending their youngest and brightest to come court the youngest rare Mafia Princess who can belly up to the bar with the big boys." I explain to Archie.
"What do you mean, court?" Archie asks.
"Thanks to my play, the families are looking to make a business and/or political alliances with my parents." I tell him and then there's a knock on my door and daddy opens it a crack to pop his head in.
"Archie, if you have a moment?" daddy asks.
"Go ahead. We'll meet up at lunch." I tell Archie and he leaves my room and follows after daddy. ••• "Well, aren't you guys a handsome assortment of he-devils?" I ask as I come walking into the dining room and see mom and five men in suits sitting at the table and mom stands up and walks over next to me.
"Quinn, these young men have come to pay their respects." mom tells me.
"Trust me, I know why they're here, mom. And while I'm dying to hear they're proposals, I'm late for school. But maybe I can squeeze you in tomorrow?" I tell them and then walk away before mom grabs my arm and pulls me back towards her.
"Uh...tomorrow?" mom asks me softly.
"You do things your way, and I do things my way." I tell her and then walk towards the door and leave. ••• "War Baby called my father and I from Shankshaw. Her old adversaries, the Ghoulies, had been released. Word on the street is that they want Serpent blood. They're gunning for a re-match. They want war." Jughead tells us all the Serpents gathered into the classroom and the door swings open.
"Which one of you reptiles was screwing Midge Klump?" Reggie asks as he, Archie, Kevin, Moose walk in.
"What the hell is going on? This is a private meeting." Jughead tells Reggie.
"I'm guessing it was you, Sweet Pea." Reggie says as he points at Sweet Pea and Sweet Pea pushes past Jughead.
