Dhruv
Yesterday's trip to the fort was a pure disaster. I don't understand why Natasha, my wife, was being too chummy with that dramatic bastard Rudra.
And what could have gone wrong if she had let me shoot a video for her? Just a simple video? Does she hate me that much? She would allow that monkey to retake her videos again and again, but wouldn't even let me shoot for once.
I would have done it perfectly in one shot, and it's not just about the video. The whole time, it was as if Rudra was not my best friend but hers. No, scratch that, that bastard is not even my best friend in the first place.
Not anymore.
And now they have exceeded every limit. She is not even travelling with me anymore! I am here in the car with Uncle Nakul and Aunty Kavita, while she is in the other car with Rudra and Pooja. I am a little bit relieved that at least Pooja is there with her.
However, how dare they? What is even going on? She has been acting like this since we came to Lonavala. By the way, she will keep teaching me about our marriage, will keep offering me different ways, different schemes like the 'will you be my friend' from before and whatnot.
But when it comes to herself, she won't implement any of it. Why isn't she fulfilling our so-called sacred bond of marriage now?
Dammit
I am getting pissed right now.
"Tell me one thing, Dhruv, as far as I know, aren't you a newlywed?" Uncle Nakul's question draws me out of my trance, and I nod, thinking how strange his question is.
"Yes, uncle," I answer, unsure of where this is leading. I am sitting beside Uncle Nakul, who is in the middle with Aunt Kavita on his other side.
I was going to take the front seat, but Uncle and Aunt both insisted I sit with them because it had been so long since I met them, and I obliged.
"Hmm, as I thought, the time has changed so much, no, Kavita? I remember when we were newlyweds, I wouldn't want to leave your side even for a minute, although it stays true for now as well, but no one can compete with the passion from that time.
I wonder how Dhruv can hold it in. If I were in his position, then maybe I wouldn't be giving some old couple company instead of my wife."
I immediately suppress a groan when I understand the meaning behind Uncle Nakul's words.
Is that why he insisted I sit with them in the back so he could poke me anytime he wished, and tease me until my ears bled?
Damn it
"Nakul!" Aunty Kavita nudged him in the stomach, scolding him, but what kind of an army man would he be if he backed down with such a small attack?
'Sigh'
"Yes, times have changed, and Dhruv is a sensible and caring husband. Giving one their personal space is very important, along with loving them, and Dhruv is doing just the right thing.
He is giving Natasha her space so that she will actually feel like she is on a vacation with friends and family. You are such a sweetheart, Dhruv. Don't listen to your uncle. He is like those clingy boyfriends girls don't like."
"Oh, but you definitely like one, don't you? Me, your husband." If anyone asked me what was on my to-do list for this abrupt vacation, watching Uncle Nakul rizz Aunt Kavita in front of me was not on it. At. All.
I don't even have a fucking to-do list in the first place!
And I am not an understanding husband, Aunt Kavita. I didn't give her space; she just took it with her huffs and puffs.
I was not going to let her drive separately from me, but she was too stubborn, and then both Rudra and Pooja whisked her away while I was still talking.
I pinched my forehead, remembering it, and before I could let out another sigh, Uncle Nakul pushed it down with his next words.
"I am telling you, Dhruv. Girls like clingy boyfriends only; they just don't show it.
He chuckled before continuing in a fake, concerned and teasing voice.
Either way, I didn't expect a man of your calibre to be averse towards married life. This isn't right, Dhruv. You know, I am just like your dad..." He gives me a look of a seasoned actor before immediately changing his lines.
"No, I am just like your friend. So, you can share whatever problem you are facing with me, child. I will solve it for you. After all, I am experienced." He says, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
I suppress a groan and an itch to run my hands down my face at my uncle's ruthless approach to messing with me.
"I will keep your 'Uncle Nakul's Love expert firm's advertising proposal' in my head, Uncle, but for now, there is nothing wrong with our marriage, fortunately, thanks to your blessings," I say.
Aunt Kavita smiles happily while Uncle looks at me disappointedly.
Disappointed?
Was he actually hoping for some problems in my marriage? What is wrong with him?
Thankfully, the car stops as we arrive at the Bhaje waterfalls. I do not try to show, but I open the car door at lightning speed. I get off, my eyes trained at the other car in which Natasha, Pooja and Rudra were riding.
I walk to their car, and Pooja is the first one to come out.
"Oh, Dhruv bhaiya (Brother), your car also arrived at the same time? Amazing, now we can all go and take a refreshing dip." She says excitedly, and I smile.
"Yeah. Sounds fun." I say, peering behind her, waiting for Natasha to come out, but instead of her, my bastard friend Rudra comes out from the same side.
My mood worsens, and I mentally scowl at his face. However, right now is not the time to waste on this monkey. I need to ask some serious questions of my dear wife first.
I am about to go to the other side of the car when Rudra helps her out from the same side. She smiles and thanks him for his help in exactly what? Holding her fucking hand?
Anger shoots up my head as I walk up to her, only to get interrupted by Uncle and Aunt this time.
"What are you kids dawdling for? Let's go. The waterfall is calling us." Uncle Nakul says, and I quietly follow everyone for now.
