(Help me come up with a name for this chapter)
"We can grab the toiletries from my place.", Logan suggests, "There's no need to buy more when I already have extras lying there." I nod in agreement, my focus on the road unwavering. "So, we're heading there then?", he seeks confirmation, his thumb rubbing soothing circles on my thigh. Glancing briefly at his hand, I chew on my bottom lip.
"Actually, there's something I need to take care of first. How about I drop you off around the block, then pick you up from your place later?" I ease off the accelerator, turning to face him fully in the passenger seat. "You can either gather the stuff on your own or wait for me to come and lend a hand."
His brow knits in contemplation as my proposal hangs in the air. "Or perhaps-", he counters, "-I could accompany you and then we can head to my place together." My heart stutters at the unexpected offer, and I fidget in my seat. My plan of ditching Logan in the convenience store is already out of the picture and if he accompanies me now, the true purpose of this entire trip to the city will become unachievable.
"I think-", I moisten my lips, buying myself time to concoct a plausible excuse, "-we can be more efficient by dividing the tasks and tackling them simultaneously." With that, I give a coy smirk, "After all, I want to return home as soon as possible to stake my claim on you."
After a brief moment of contemplation, Logan nods in agreement. A surge of relief floods through me, and I offer a silent prayer of thanks to whatever cosmic forces might be listening. The car comes to a stop a street away from his house and the male exits the vehicle. I quickly lower the window to bid him farewell with a wave. He returns the gesture with a fleeting smile before disappearing from view.
With Logan safely on his way, I turn my attention to the task at hand. Retrieving my phone, I consult the GPS to navigate to my destination. The small bell above the shop door chimes as I push it open, announcing my arrival to the human behind the counter. He looks up from his computer with a warm smile, "Welcome, how may I help you?"
I approach the counter, taking a moment to glance around at the framed pictures adorning the walls. Focusing back on the male, I tap my finger thoughtfully on the wooden surface. "I have a photo on my phone that I want to get framed.", I explain, meeting his expectant gaze, "Is that possible?"
His smile widens as he swiftly slides his business card across the counter. "Of course! Simply email it to this address.", he says, pointing to the email ID listed on the card.
I chew nervously on my lip, hesitating for a moment before speaking up, "Well...this photo is kinda sensitive in nature, so...I'd appreciate it if you could delete it after printing."
"Don't worry, I will delete it right in front of you.", the male assures me as he rises from his seat to attend to the printer. While he busies himself with the task, I quickly email the picture, feeling a pang of nervousness in the pit of my stomach. Once done, he returns to his desk and opens the image only for his brows to arch up in surprise at what he sees.
A slight blush creeps onto my cheeks, and I nervously scratch the back of my neck to ease the nervous energy coursing through me, "Is it too much?"
The guy looks up at me before quickly shaking his head with a chuckle, "Not at all. I've had actual nudes sent in for printing before. This is nothing compared to those." His words only serve to deepen my blush. Clearing my throat, I watch intently as he clicks and drags various filters onto the image, inviting me to choose one. I observe with fascination as the picture I took transforms before my eyes, the tone and saturation adjusting with each subtle tweak.
"They all enhance his skin beautifully...", I murmur to myself, toggling between filters on the screen. "But honestly, his skin is already so silky and vibrant without any of these modifications..."
