Task
As soon as they arrived at the manor, everyone took their seats. Mira felt scared and nervous as negative thoughts started flooding her mind. She wondered what would happen and for the first time, she genuinely felt fear not knowing what would happen. She hoped she still had the power to just simply write what would happen next.
She could tell others were also on the edge. With the way Yeji was fiddling with her fingers to the way Bangchan kept repeatedly checking on his tablet about the details of their task. Everyone was fidgeting in their own ways. The tension was high in the room.
Mira knew vampires did certain tasks. She wrote about it but what she wrote about were merely simple tasks such as discovering a coven that illegally exported human blood for their own consumption. This, however, was on a different level compared to what she wrote. She merely wrote those as filler chapters.
Stray vampires were feral. Vampires were necessarily immortals, but feral vampires could kill them. They can bite vampires and suck them dry. Their venoms could also weaken a vampire within seconds. They were that scary. So, Mira's fears were reasonable.
"To summarize everything, Kim Namjoon himself assigned us with this task. Him and his coven will be going oversees to report the rise of stray vampires in our areas in case things get out of hand." Bangchan paused and stared at every single one of them. His face was stern, the opposite of the happy and joyful face Yumi was used to seeing.
"That is why we're here. To prevent things from getting out of hand. We received a tip of their headquarters, and we are told to kill them." He said, straight to the point. "This is not new to us, anyways. We have been doing this since forever and we might as well get the job done."
"Ms. Yang, please guide them to our basement. We have everything from weapons to health kits. Please feel free to grab everything you need. We'll be going in 30 minutes." That was the last thing he said before disappearing.
Mira did not hesitate before turning towards Changbin. "Please grab the supplies he'll need." She turned back to Hyunjin and held his hand in a death grip. "You. Come with me."
She walked with a fast pace as she led the two of them towards his room. "Bite me."
"Mira what-"
"You better feed from me Hwang Hyunjin." She said sternly.
"Petal, you literally became weak earlier. I can't do this to you..." He gently said in a worried tone.
"I've read everything there is to know about vampire feeding. You're about to go on a dangerous task and I know drinking my blood can strengthen you."
"Petal-"
"My blood will give you enough to regenerate quickly if ever you get injured and hurt."
"Petal please listen to me-"
"Just drink, please. Do you want me to cut myself for you-"
And just like that, the world shut off with a single move. A single kiss was all it took to soothe all of her negative thoughts.
Hyunjin held the back of her neck with one arm and the other holding her waist tightly as he pulled her closer if that was even possible. Mira's hands shakily found his shirt's sleeves and clenched it tightly.
The vampire tilted her head and bit her lip making her gasp.
"Hyunjin-"
He shut her off by kissing her even deeply. He smirked seeing her unable to speak because of him. Her hands found his hair, tangling against his locks, clenching it making the man groan lowly against her lips.
Taking the opportunity, he slid his tongue inside of her mouth, exploring every crevices. It was as if he was studying every corner of her mouth.
Mira's knees became weak, stumbling as she tried to hold on for dear life. Before she could fall, Hyunjin was already holding unto her tightly, making sure she won't ever fall.
When it felt as if her lungs will finally explode, Hyunjin pulled back, breaking the kiss. She thought it was over.
Not exactly.
He began pampering her with kisses from her lips, down to her jawline, on the back of her ear, down to her neck. He was biting as he left kisses. Biting hard enough to leave marks but not blood.
He started nipping on the sensitive part of her neck where he always bit. "I'm going to bite now, petal."
Mira hummed in response.
"I need words, petal."
"Yes please." She breathed out shakily.
Her hands clenched even tighter at his shirt, leaving it wrinkled, closing her eyes in anticipation as she felt his fangs on her skin, biting hard enough to finally draw blood.
"Go on. Drink as much as you want." She encouraged the vampire, playing with his hair to calm him down.
Hyunjin hummed in acknowledgement. The hum sent vibrations all throughout Mira's entire system, making her shiver lightly. She could hear the vampire gulp down her blood and he even let out sounds of contentment.
He pulled back quickly.
"You still need more-"
"Sit on my lap, petal."
Mira nodded shakily. Not trusting her trembling knees to stand any longer. She did not mind having trembling knees if it meant Hyunjin was the one who made her feel like it.
She settled herself on top of the man. The moment his fangs penetrated her skin once more, she was no longer bothered by it. It was the first time he bit her twice in one feeding and she did not mind it at all.
Mira wasn't complaining about the way his hands reached her thighs, holding it tightly. She was sure his hands would leave marks. He was probably unknowingly using his vampire strengths as he held her.
A few more minutes later, he finally pulled back. Blood was dripping on the side of his lips. Mira smiled sleepily at him, blinking her unfocused eyes tiredly. It was something she always felt after the vampire has finished feeding from her.
"Petal? You with me?"
"Did you get enough?" Mira asked, her words slurring slightly as she spoke. It was as if she was drunk.
"Mhm. I had more than enough. Come on, let's get you back with the others." Hyunjin gently told her.
"Will you come home to me?" She asked.
"I promise. I will always go home to you, Petal."
