Bond

When Mira woke up, she felt oddly weird. She knew she was exhausted but for some reasons she felt refreshed. It was as if she did not work on her feet the entire day yesterday. It was as if some miracle healed her exhaustion. She wondered where all of the fatigue she felt went. Everything felt as if she got an entire day of rest.

Not remembering how she went home last night, she went towards her kitchen to eat the rest of the snacks Lia gave her before she takes a shower and go to work again. She really has no time to slack off. 

However, when she arrived at the kitchen, she was greeted by a note with a jewelry box.

'Dearest Petal,
I hope you enjoy this gift.
-HYJ'

That was when everything came flashing towards Mira's mind, making her remember everything that happened and how she went home. Her cheeks unintentionally flushed as she grabbed the jewelry box and open it.

It was a gold choker necklace with a red rose on the center and is surrounded by white diamonds. It was so beautiful. That was when Mira realized that the story wasn't following the original plot. 

'After the vampire has finally found his mate, he did not hesitate to bring her home and introduce her to the others. Han couldn't help but feel smug knowing he was right.'

Mira knew she never wrote anything about courting. She has considered it but decided against it. She did not know what was going on. It has been like that recently. The book wasn't following her original plot.

"You know what? I don't care anymore. It is what it is. Might as well live a fangirl dream." She sighed to herself defectively, accepting her fate as she went and prepared for her job.

Grabbing the necklace, she decided to wear it. She did not know how the vampire might react if she did not wear it, so she wasn't risking it. Besides, it was a beautiful necklace. She knew it had some magical properties as she felt the power of the necklace surrounding her the moment she wore it.

"Good morning." She greeted happily as she entered the café where Yuna and Lia were already preparing to start the day. They began to take out the pastries and taking out the ingredients they need to bake and refill the empty shelves with more pastries.

The first thing Yuna noticed was her necklace. "Good morning, Mira. That necklace is cute." She complimented. "Suits you."

Mira was grateful the woman did not interrogate her on where she got the necklace because truth to be told, she will not know how to answer. She still can't fully believe that she met Hyunjin. She was doubting whether it was just her imagination or did it really happen.

Minutes turned to hours and hours turned to days. Now, Mira was certain that meeting Hyunjin was a mere fragment of her imagination. Her only proof of meeting the vampire was the necklace adorning her neck perfectly. The vampire seemed like he disappeared from the face of the earth. Mira no longer saw him.

"Welcome to Miroh Café, what can I get for you today?"

Mira was internally grateful for her acting skills as she was greeted by the face of Lee Felix and Han Jisung. They seemed as if they were eager to meet her. Like puppies who saw treats. It took everything for Mira not to coo.

'So I meet the sunshine twins all at once but not him? Just my like.' Mira groaned.

"One iced americano and a chocolate smoothie with two brownies please." Han smiled at her.

Mira found it odd that the two visited just a few more minutes after her shift ended but it might just be a coincidence. Not everything has to be connected to her. She felt weirder with the fact that Felix himself bought brownies and did not bake them. She was used to seeing the blonde bake his own brownies.

Mira stumbled and immediately grabbed the side of the counter to stable herself. "Hey? Mira? You okay?" Han's worried voice woke her up. The feeling disappeared as fast as it came. It was like a cold gush of wind almost blew her over.

Mira nodded, trying to regain herself. She stabled herself, staring at Han and taking deep long breaths. "How-" She swallowed. "How do you know my name."

Han just smiled at her and did not answer. Fortunately, Felix spoke and distracted the two. "How much do we owe?"

Felix paid and left a handful of tips. Mira was grateful as she can already taste the delicious ramen she can buy with the tips that the two gave her. That still doesn't excuse the fact that Han never explained how he got her name.

As she left the café, she felt as if someone as following her. She was climbing up the stairs to reach her apartment and the feeling still hasn't disappeared. She looked around warily.

She knelt to the ground as she felt immense pain on the side of her neck. "What in the world. Is this going to be a regular thing now?" She complained as the pain still hasn't subsided. She could only wish someone would just take the pain away.

Meanwhile, Han was angrily barging towards Hyunjin. "She is starting to feel the pain of the bond. Hyung, she's human. She could die if you don't go to her."

Hyunjin stood up. "She'll die if I go to her!" He argued back. "I'm a vampire. She's human, Han."

Han sighed, defeated. "Whatever hyung. But know that I already warned you. It's up to you whether you actually do something about it." He stared directly at Hyunjin's eyes. "She doesn't know what's going on, hyung. Don't be cruel."

Hyunjin clenched his fist against the cup he was holding, nearly breaking it on the process. His jaw clenched at Han's words. Han was correct and yet he can't bring himself to admit it. His pride not allowing him to do so.

Seungmin arrived at the room, failing to notice the tension looming around the two. "Han? You're back? Where's Felix?"

Han looked at Seungmin, confused. "Huh? Didn't he follow me?" He disappeared for a while before he came back. "I'm sure we went back together."

Seungmin sighed. "Please tell him to come to me once he's here. I have a few things to discuss with him and Chan." He smiled at Hyunjin. "Congrats on finding your mate."

Hyunjin suddenly felt the side of his neck aching. He flinched subtly, but not subtle enough for Han not to notice. The man sighed, ignoring his stubborn hyung.

However, it seems as if everything would soon change as Felix entered the room, carrying a pale unconscious woman in his arms. Their eyes locked as a certain smell filled up the entire house in an instant.

In less than a second, the entire coven was swarming inside Hyunjin's room.

Han turned to Hyunjin.

"What are you gonna do now, hyung?"
