"Abhi, niche chale? Sab intezaar kar rahe humara", Adhavan raised his palm horizontally.
Abhidnya looked at him with accusing eyes. She clutched her lehenga as a gesture of negligence. She turned her face sideways defying Adhavan's request.
Adhavan took a deep breath looking at Abhidnya. He now knows that she has been successfully manipulated by Vhavya. But he was unaware of the content.
He tried to touch her but she took a step back and Vhavya decided to stand infront of her as her shield against Adhavan.
This made Adhavan chuckle. He nodded his head nonchantlantly and held Abhidnya's wrist.
"Bohot hua yeh drama. Chalo Abhi", Adhavan said and turned around while pulling Abhidnya's wrist along with him.
But his steps halted when he felt that Abhidnya is adamant about not moving even an inch from her place.
Adhavan turned around to say something but his eyes stung when he saw Abhidnya holding Vhavya's wrist restricting Adhavan's pull.
"Did you kill them?", Abhidnya asked. Her voice was rough.
Adhavan left her wrist but didn't answer. Abhidnya was infuriated when he didn't answer.
She raised her voice and asked rudely, "did you kill my parents? Tell me"
"Yeh kya bolega Abhidnya. Kabhi kisi gunehgar ko apna gunnah itni asani se mante huye dekha hai tumne? He is a typical red flag", Maya gaslighted
"Tell me the truth Abadhya. Did you kill them? Are you the reason for whom I became an orphan?", Abhidnya asked while filled with rage.
She aggressively wipped her tears and gave an ultimatum to Adhavan, "tell me the truth now or else aaj hi ke din, isi mandap par mein Vhavya se shaadi kar lungi tumhare samne aur tum rok bhi nhi paoge"
Adhavan smiled. His eyes which were casted low since then raised their lashes and met that with Abhidnya's. He felt defeated for the second time, from the same person, in the same room and at the same time when he least expected it coming.
Adhavan's orbs were shining with unshed tears. They were reflecting the flames of the fire burning inside Adhavan.
His smile transformed from sad to sinister. He folded his hands at his back and stood straight with arrogance.
"Aap agar bhul rahi hain Abhidnya toh hum apko yaad dila dete hain. Humara naam Adhavan Abadhya Raghuvanshi hai. Hum apne naam ke anusar jeete hain. I am the man of the world who is undefeatable.
Kya kaha apne? Aap humare samne Vhavya se shaadi karenge aur hum rok bhi na sakenge?", he chuckled sarcastically and turned around to walk.He sat on the arm chair, majestically like a king. His face radiated haughtiness, "Aap aaj, isi mandap mein shaadi karengi aur Vhavya ke sath karengi. You have to get married with Vhavya, Abhidnya.
Aur rahi baat sach ki toh.....nhi mara hai humne aap ke maa baap ko humne ek dalal ko marwaya hai jo ladkiyon ki dalali karne se pehle hichki tak nhi leta tha. 32 teenagers ki dalali karwai hai aapke baapu sa ne aur yeh baat apki maa sa janti thi par chup rahi. Pata hai kyu chup rahi kyu ki gareebi dekhna nhi chahti thi. Kisi aur ke dard pe khusi se jeene ka guroor tha aapke maa baap ko.Apne hi Bhai se nhi banti thi. Kyu? Kyu ki apne mann ki lalach ko nhi mar paye isiliye khudh mar gaye. Tumhare kaku sa ne mara hai unhe. Meine nhi. Aab hume kya pata ki kiski mansa kya hai?", Adhavan moulded his sentences and came clean infront of Abhidnya.
Abhidnya was devastated. She was again and again stuck in numerous turmoils.
"Waise Abhidnya, aapke baapu sa ne apki dalali bhi karwa hi di thi. Uss din jab humne mana kiya apse shaadi karne se, turant apke baapu sa ko khabar pahunch gayi unke jasus aur apke driver se. Aur agar apko Jann ne ki icha ho ki kon apko khareedne wala tha toh apke lover boy Vhavya se puch lena. Akhir...... Vhavya bhi toh ek dalal hi hai", Adhavan smirked at the end and stood up to leave.
Abhidnya was stunned. She had no idea how to react. She wasn't crying but tears were leaving her orbs. She was dumbfounded with the revelation. Overwhelmed with the gust of emotions, she was again struggling to block them. Her anxiety is returning back.
Adhavan walked near Abhidnya and removed a strand of tears. While patting her cheek, he said, "Hum toh apko apna ruh (soul) samajhte thay, hume kahan pata tha ki aap humari maut bann kar ayee hain"
"Ek hi toh Zindagi hai, kitni baar mare hum? Kya ek sadgi si zindagi ki asa nhi kar sakte hum?", Abhidnya asked dejectedly
"Choices Abhidnya....choices matters. I hope apke pasandida mard apko apni pasand ki zindagi jeene denge", Adhavan said and walked away to leave.
Abhidnya hastily ran behind Adhavan and stood infront of him. She said, "apko bhi pata hai ki woh dhamki jhuth thi. Hum unse ya kisi aur se vyah nhi karenge. Hum apko chahte hain"
Adhavan chuckled and said, "yehi toh farak hai Abhidnya ki aap hume chahti hain par pyaar nhi karti. Aur aap humse kabhi pyaar nhi kar payengi kyu ki aap humare upar kabhi bharosa hi nhi kar sakti. Shayad Aaj ke baad hum bhi aapke upar kabhi biswas nhi kar sakte. Wish you a marital bliss with him"
Abhidnya nodded her head negatively and held his wrist, "nhi Abadhya. Mujhe nhi pata ki mein kya kahun. It's all a mess. I am enough ashamed to even apologize. But please I don't want to marry him"
Adhavan caressed her cheeks and said mockingly, "but isn't it what you wanted. You were the one to threaten me darling that you will marry him in front of me. And trust me now the hell I want to witness you getting married with him"
"Nhi nhi Abadhya. Nhi listen to me. Woh meine gusse mein bol diya tha because I wanted you to speak the truth. I don't love him or anyone else. I haven't seen or talked with him in years. Kasam se Abadhya trust me", Abhidnya said while hiccupping
"Wahi toh dikkat hai meri jaan ki hume apke upar biswas hai baas bharosa nhi kar paa rahe", Adhavan tried to remove her hand
"Abadhya.....mein woh sab karungi jo aap kahenge. Sari baatein manungi. Jese rakhenge waise rahungi baas mujhe khud se alag mat kariye. Mujhe kisi aur ke sath bhi rehna......mein....", Abhidnya was requesting Adhavan while Vhavya interrupted her,
"Abhidnya, woh tumhe accept nhi karna chahta toh tum kyu uske paas Jaa rahi ho. Let him go. We both can live happily like our old days. I love you, and vice versa. You don't have to beg him for acceptance"
"Shut up...... I don't love you and you too have never loved me. You have lusted over me. Na maa baap na ek achi dost aur nahi tum....koi pyaar nhi karta mujhse. And I deserve it because shayad Jo mujhse pyaar karta hai usse mein samajh hi nhi payi", Abhidnya said regretfully
"Abhidnya don't test my patience", Vhavya said while gritting his teeth but again changed his expression within a second, "baby, dekho you both are not meant to be together. Drop this act now. If he wants to leave let him go"
Abhidnya turned towards Adhavan and looked at him with her glossy eyes, "Abadhya humse galti hui hai par hume chodne ki itni badi saza na de hume"
"Enough is enough Abhidnya", Vhavya said with anger and came forward with the intention of holding her wrist and dragging her away from Adhavan.
Abhidnya could see Vhavya marching towards her. She then looked at Adhavan who was standing there with a stoic face. It was as if he never heard her apologize, her requests....he will do what he said. He will marry her with Vhavya. This simple idea dread Abhidnya.
"Nhi.....nhi...nhi Abadhya nhi. Hum hath jodte hain. Please nhi. Aap koi bhi saza de hume chalega par yeh nhi", Abhidnya requested
